Has to be. Anyone who comes back to playing high level basketball, six months after an ACL tear, either is only sitting on the bench with a uniform on or has broken the laws of physiology and this history of medical science.

A repair of the meniscus and full rehab can be done in that time.

There's confidence growing that Ty will play the majority of big ten play this season.
Have heard the same … Have seen the same with him shooting and doing light work … He’s been attacking rehab like a man on a mission …
This signals quite a bit about his character and mental makeup. Don't know if we acknowledge... but he is losing money if this ends up true.

This really shouldn't be too much of a surprise that has been around and worked with kids like Ty. I have coached kids with same type of drive and determination. Those types can obliterate the common timelines more than the normal person and even the normal athlete.

Hey y'all, I've not really been keeping up with any of the off season like I do in most years so how are the vibes heading into this season? Any particular buzz? Who's been looking good so far? Are we feeling good?

I'm aware of the major news like the Rodgers and Stojakovic injury as well as the recent commits, but what else do I need to know heading into this season (and any major recruiting info)

I feel very behind

Based on what we've heard, I suspect Ty may be ready to play during the season, but the math says he should skip the season.

WRT to Rodgers, if the 5 to play 5 rule goes into effect, redshirting becomes moot. if he's able to play, he'll play. people in the know think he'll be able to play
In the past players have been grandfathered to not get negatively impacted by rule changes, so I'd think he'd keep two years if he skipped.

not wrong. so, the right answer appears to be we'll see. lol

The best-case scenario sounds like he could return sometime in January. He redshirted last year because he didn't want to take a bench role while he was improving his game. Why would he use up a year of eligibility this season to play less games while coming back from injury?

I would think it might come down to how much of the season he misses. “Back for most of the Big 10 season” could be mid December.
