Also Tomi played last year’s exhibition vs Ole Miss despite not being officially “cleared” yet too ( I myself have tried to wipe that game from my memory)

My four years at u of I were the same as Kiwane's. He had great handle, and was a very good shooter. Very dependable late game, with one unfortunate exception.
Nice guy, as well. I had to guard him in some pickup games. It did not go very well for me.
Congratulations to an all-time illini great!
I remember that game very well.........he was almost automatic at the FT line and I couldn't believe what happened that one unfortunate exception time........he was my favorite player during his time playing for the beloved.......he really really was...........

Mihailo mentioning being impressed with Trent Frazier in Euroball, So I've decided Mihailo is my favorite.

Bonus Cam Crocker reference by David
Guys a heady player.

What better way to endear yourself to the fan base than to talk up a favorite of ours in Trent Frazier?

Is their another guy soo loved in Illinois basketball who was never the true first or second best player on a good team?

Feliz is a close second.

If Petro and Wagler both hit, Z is more consistent, Andrej is the guy we thought we recruited when we got him and Kylan and Tomi each make a jump there’s no reason why this team can’t compete with Purdue for a conference title.
And....What if all the stars line up? Collectively see improved play from Ben and Jake! What if Mirk is a big factor?
Early return for Rodgers? Lee contributes?

I love the “it’s like my country, sunny and warm” comment.

Buckle….errrr…bundle up buttercup.

Looks like most of the country gets barely below freezing temps most of the time. Its going to be a bit of an eye opener for sure.

Any insider/quasi-insider know if we've done anything to try to avoid the multiple rounds of communicable illnesses that seem to befall our team every year?

That's probably a tough job. These guys are young, in shape, have money, have a certain degree of fame, and live on a college campus... There are so many awesome ways to be exposed to communicable diseases...

Not an insider....but Tomi having his tonsils removed seems to be an attempt to curb some of his illness. Aside from that, they are college kids...communicable illnesses are bound to happen, hopefully last year was just an outlier.

I mean, true, but that's also the case at every other major CBB program and they seem to be doing a better job of it. Maybe that's just proximity bias on my part.

If Wagler can possibly be a 10PPG guy it would be a huge lift for this offense.

All the buzz seems to be that the starting group is trending towards: Wagler, Kylan, Andrej, Ben, Tomi.
What's ironic is that if you were to tell this board back in April that Ben would be starting on next year's team, I guarantee the majority of responses would've been that something's gone terribly wrong.

It's a fresh start to a new year, and everyone seems bought into hoping he bounces back. I don't see much of a minutes/role decline from last year.

Yeahhh I was oddly surprised how Mike LaTulip talked of Mihailo Petrovic.
Seems like he is destined to be a 6th man. Could be good or bad. If Wagler is that deserving.

I really trust Mike's judgement though so I wasn't expecting this 22 year old PG to be in that role.
