i think 2 of the freshman have announced they'll arrive in June (Zens and Brown, i think?). any word on when the rest of the newcomers will arrive?

Possible/Probable he redshirts this season barring an injury but I think Zens is gonna be a player for the program down the road if able to keep him. Really like his fit as a versatile role player.

I don't think he'd play enough this season to make it worthwhile to not redshirt but I don't think he'd embarrass himself out there in a Ben role for a handful+ of minutes. It's the role I could definitely see him playing down the road if he sticks with the program. He's already got a really good build and will be able to pack on some more.

Think he's a fantastic fit for the program and think he'll be able to really make a meaningful contribution as a role player sooner than later IMO.

Gotta love this roster. IMO, the for-sure starters would be Andrej, Mirkovic, Tomi and Vaaks. Davis should be a veteran presence, either as a starter or major minutes off the bench. That leaves a quality bunch of guards fighting it out for a starting role and major minutes off the bench. What's not to like?

He was a three-time team captain and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, and more than 30 years later he remains the Illini school record holder for career 3-point field goal percentage (.449) and single-season 3-point percentage (.493).

Maybe he could moonlight as our shooting coach.
As I've noted before, we don't want to screw up our high powered offense by actually making three pointers.
