Could be a lot worse... We won't be going to MSU or Nebraska... and only one game on the West Coast. The 3 teams we get to play twice are one's you might pick if given the option. (Purdue and Wisconsin certainly don't look as good on paper this year...I'm not sure how many B1G level players Northwestern will even have..)
While Eugene is technically not on the coast, it’s close enough … so two games out here 😊

Which school moved off of the West coast - Oregon or Washington?

Obviously I love our chances of winning the conference next year, but the bigger win for fans is a bunch of marquee home games. MSU is gonna be a war, and there are a bunch of potential tournament teams here.

I want the real Big Ten back

Like, what do you mean Michigan and Indiana don't come to Champaign?
I’m just glad I can watch an Illini game in person when the team flies out to Oregon (and even Seattle). FWLIW I wish the Pac12 was intact too, though. I feel bad for Oregon state and Washington state. While neither were perennial contenders they took steep nosedives after everyone left. They’re pretty much mid-major level teams now, and even less competitive at that level than when they were P5 programs.

FYI, Brad Underwood will be a guest on ESPN 101 Sports (St Louis) at 9:00 AM this morning.

Hell yea, more home and homes, less neutral sites.

[BANGS TABLE]

MORE HOME AND HOMES
The thing we really need to be willing to do is a Chicago-and-road.

These weirdo four-game deals that involve quasi-road games like Tennessee in Nashville or Bama in Birmingham just make things too confusing.

(There also might be schools willing to do a home-home-Chicago. Marquette and Notre Dame spring to mind)

Give me one UC game and one traveling neutral, otherwise I agree they blow.

But they are super helpful for NET rankings. Duke will almost certainly be a Q1A at SFC in 27, but most teams that’s not a guarantee. Neutrals help bump the range of teams that can be considered Q1 at a neutral vs a home and home.
