signed up today for Big+ to catch 2 exhibition games and 1 regular season game Lets Go!!
You can sign up for the entire season (six months) $44.99 or go month to month for $12.99 per month ($38.97 for all Illinois Big+ games).

The $44.98 option does not automatically renew, so you don’t have to worry about cancelling. The $12.99 option renews monthly until you cancel.

There was some of that, but I don't think we're in any place to call it bad bounces against those guys at this point.

was speaking of the final 4 game

hard to watch that game and not come away with clear impression that we played them really well but shots didnt go

definitely seemed a corner was turned there

And they were 26th in odds a couple months ago (just behind USC, Indiana, and Alabama), so I guess the books are higher on them now with a more complete roster?
Still makes no sense TBH. I can see them on the back end of the odds, but in front of a lot of those programs. Bama makes absolutely no sense. F4 coach with retention and one player consistently mocked first round.

"here is my advise for illinois coaching staff after quickly glancing at couple box scores"

is rarely so simple, i actually thought the final 4 game that illinois played really well and shots didn't go in or rolled around rim etc etc, while it seemed uconn was getting bounces off top of the backboard and banking in threes and stuff like that
I've contended we were the better team at the final four game. We got high quality shots all game & just could not hit anything. And as you mentioned UConn had a few shooter's luck kind of shots go in. We rebounded well, defended pretty well, just could not shoot for crap that day.

Indeed, sportsbooks have a clear 1st and 2nd tier then it gets muddy (but they still give it a 66% chance it isn't one of the top 4):

I've never hoped for a 15/1 ticket to cash quite like the one I am holding on Illinois to win the title. We are clearly in the "A" tier of expected contenders. Just need to play our best at the right time.

Going to be in town for the Iowa game and plan to attend the EIU game. Only 200 level available. Should I wait and just get secondary market tickets or pull the trigger on whats available? I would think there will be options in the 100's on Vivid or Stubhub closer to gameday.

I ordered tickets for the Sunday 2/28 game against whiskey. I was on right at noon and there weren't 100 tickets available in the
whole arena. Tickets prices have quadrupled since the Rutgers game last year. How are all the tickets gone before noon?
Enlighten me gentlemen. Used the illinois.edu site.

I can't believe some of these ticket prices. 135.00 140.00 for a single ticket?? Its college basketball!! What a slap in the face to your fans who are priced out who supported the program through the bad years

In 2024 I paid 222.00 for 3 tickets against purdue, now we are asking for about 140.00 for 1 ticket?

Yea I was hold for 30 minutes with the app open watching all of the 2 seat options go away, went on app and had it pick the best, lol it gave me the tickets that showed being sold already on the seating chart go figure. Plus as an IFund member it would no t let me buy 2 tickets in a row with 3 left it wouldn't leave a single seat in a row that was bull.

I-Fund members got early access. For the good games it was only singles except for the top two three rows when I got on yesterday when it opened. Think MSU game was $120 even at top. Cost of success!

season tickets, student tickets, and there were multiple presales for Ifund levels this week prior to it opening up. At this point, any of the huge games or weekend games going fast.

I did just look at Michigan St, and while there were a handful of singles left, there was a set of 3 on the aisle 2 rows from the top. But they were $140-$150 each. Which is crazy.

Same for me Big Jack. Couldn't buy 2 of 3. That's goofy.

Live look at me yesterday trying to buy tickets for the UNC game in Nashville when the presale opened:

Fairly universal at this point that Illinois is seen as the 3rd best team in the country, a perceived shade behind Florida and Duke. It's a year where we have potentially the best litmus test possible seeing UConn & Duke, we should know early what this teams upside is. I'm not sure winning is 100% necessary, simply seeing we cracked the code on UConn and can play Duke tough at Cameron.

I don't want to be chasing double digits deficits early to UConn where it's clear their system has us by the cajones again. It would be nice to actually play from a lead. I saw some tweets from their exhibition against Syracuse and their transfer big is a terrorist. He is not going to be an easy matchup. Tomi may be big, but this kid is explosive and nasty.

Beating Duke at Cameron is a big ask, but I think we match up well.
It's interesting to compare the cadence of games these teams have to start out. For simplicity's sake, I will just use FOX's preseason rankings since they were very recent.

Week One
Nov. 2 - Fairleigh Dickinson at #3 Illinois
Nov. 2 - Army at #2 Duke
Nov. 2 - Miami (FL) vs. #1 Florida (Tampa, FL)
Nov. 5 - Penn at #3 Illinois
Nov. 5 - Coastal Carolina at #2 Duke

Week Two
Nov. 10 - #3 Illinois at #24 Texas Tech
Nov. 10 - #4 Michigan State vs. #2 Duke (Chicago, IL)
Nov. 10 - #1 Florida at Florida State
Nov. 13 - Sam Houston at #3 Illinois
Nov. 13 - SIU Edwardsville at #2 Duke
Nov. 13 - Merrimack at #1 Florida

And then in Week Three on November 17, the Illini will play at Duke. While not likely, if...
(A) We are able to pick up a W in Lubbock and go into Durham undefeated...
(B) Duke is able to take down MSU at the United Center and go into our matchup undefeated...
(C) Florida stumbles out of the gates and loses to either of its instate rivals away from home...

There is at least a possibility that we could have the Illini/Duke game be #1 vs. #2 ... that would be so epic!

Win that game whilst UConn also undefeated..........

UConn would have a lot to bite off, looks like they have Michigan, Ohio St, Duke and Arizona before we get to them.

If it happened, the United Center would be blazing.

If they were cheaper than that, they'd already be sold and listed on seat geek for more than that.

Supply and demand is undefeated.

I think a #1 vs. #3 is very likely here, but not sure I see Florida falling to Miami or FSU.

TTU is one of the 2 regular-season games we aren't favored in according to KenPom, but I would be shocked if Vegas has us as an underdog in this game. I think the preseason analytics favor TTU because 1) TTU is ranked #3 in all of CBB in home-court advantage, and 2) I believe the analytics sites are factoring in that JT Toppin is playing.

JT Toppin tore his ACL 8 months ago. I don't see a world where he's back by November 10th, and McCasland has been pretty open about the fact that he cares about having Toppin back at the end of the season way more than the beginning and will be conservative with him.

We may or may not have Mirk back 100% by that point, but honestly I don't know how TTU would develop a game plan against us without Toppin regardless of Mirk, considering the size difference between the two teams. We'll be 3 inches taller than them on average across all positions, and if last year's Houston team didn't have the horsepower to out-athletic the size difference, I don't think a Toppinless TTU will have the horsepower to either. If Mirk is back, Illinois by 15+ easily.
