Exactly this, but have the orange Flying Illini available for big home games.

Someone mentioned the wondering what the 1976-1979 orange script Illini jerseys looked like, there's one in the HOF at SFC, but I can't find a picture of it.

I'm also leaning against the blue Flying Illini's now that I found a color pic of them, but a modernized version may clean up some of my hesitations:

There is definitely a pic of the orange script in the old thread, but I’m on my phone right now and don’t feel like hunting it up. It looks pretty great, but it could use some modern touch-ups! It’s the potential navy Script that I think would look really good!

Yeah, I prefer the 90's blues, especially if you are going to use both the orange and white Flyin' Illinis:

I would love to the the Illini adopt the 1977 Marquette untucked uniforms.mTo this day those were the coolest jerseys I have ever seen. Even read that coaches and AD’s complained that those uni’s gave Marquette an unfair recruiting advantage. Being an Illini fan it was still heartwarming seeing Al Mcquire go out with that elusive national championship. Flying Illini 1989 uniforms 2nd coolest IMHO

Yes, I would flip flop name and numbers. I was talking about overall style. The shorts would be longer of course. Loved the stripes on the side too. They were the warriors then

I like these unis a lot, for road games. I don't like the cursive on our current home ones.

I really think next year we’ll get new uniforms. The last set we got was one year after the football got their new uniforms. I’m assuming it’ll be the same next year. I’m predicting an ‘04-‘05 throwback thrown in with a simple modern looking set. Obviously I’d like to have a throwback look for next year but based off what we’ve done in the past I’m thinking it’ll be a modern look with our modern font. Hopefully they take the bad from our current set and find ways to improve upon it.
