Why doesn't Werner have all of that info in his 247 portal page. That would eliminate all kinds of pipe dreams.
It has been thrown about a lot here that Epps leaving is all on Underwood and his yelling. Along with that, not being coachable is a distant second. A few pages back it was mentioned by @Indy Illini Fan I believe that Epps also asked for more money than we were willing to give. That little nugget was glossed over, but to me that says that Epps was willing to come back if the price was right, making NIL then the main reason he ended up leaving.
But I know nothing.
Not to turn this into some kind of weird Jayden vs RJ thing, but Epps scored more points last year than RJ scored in his first two years combined.Respectfully disagree. RJ had been supported and given time to work through his shooting problems. Meanwhile, his defense and hoop play steadily improved. Not making any predictions, but I don't think he will land at a better place. I loved JE's future also, but he can be replaced more easily than a 6'7" guy who can shoot, rebound, and defend. But I am concerned with the fact that both true PGs on the roster will be freshmen and pygmies.. add in Sincere as willing to play there, and you have little faith that any of them can make a shot with the clock running out. But we know little about Moretti or DGL other than they are shorter than Epps with no experience and you have a big question mark. Just feel like RJ will leave a big hole in the program...one that supported him likely more than he will appreciate until it is too late.
Of course, if his play last season indicated his ceiling then he will not be missed....but I don't think it is.
I don’t read any of what the 247 guys write … I’ll just be honest … I try and stay off social media as much as possible …
But I got that info directly from Steve Alford …
So I’m guessing Werner may not have that “source” and wasn’t able to include that piece of information …
that team would be lucky to be .500... no one to defend in the front court... poor shooting in the back court.So......
Tyger
TSJ
Goode/Rodgers
CoHawk
Dain
Yeah, I could like that lineup.
what is an NL….I must have long since missed that oneView attachment 24751
Bro , try to keep up ..............lol.......................She just literally dropped into my lap...............she is a friend of a friend who told her aboot the infamous pru and the rest just sorted itself out.......she lives with me and NL # 3....they get along great......I'm happy...I really really am........Oh what a world...............I love it !!!!!!!
Neighbor Lady.............................old pru's harem of lusty ladies..................last count I did was a grand total of 11 NL's since the inception of the social club, and I'm still alive......................the old NL # 5 is coming back to Paducah this summer for a NL's reunion......she still lives in Brazil........what is an NL….I must have long since missed that one
How much does Tyger liking/wanting to play for Tim Anderson outweigh NIL $$$? If the way I’m reading the tea leaves is correct, I think that factor seems to maybe tip the difference. Playing closer to home and with TJS and CoHawk may also be important factors…Illinois is great, but Campbell is a player another great program in UCLA will be desperate to keep, and if he goes on the open market will be a hot target for the absolute apex programs of the country. He'd be a huge coup for UNC, just off the top of my head.
We don't have to be as precious about this anymore, blessedly. It would be a bidding war. Illinois is very, very strong in a bidding war, but we're not at the absolute peak.
Any run at Campbell would also be pulling from the same piggy bank as trying to lure Shannon and Hawkins back to school, important to remember.
Not with the portal and NIL. Used to be true, but this is a new animal. Not many teams can replace a starting 5 (Epps, Shannon, Melendez, Hawkins, Mayer) and not have a severe drop off. If Shannon and Hawkins don’t come back, this will be a 20+ loss team. Worse than 2018-19.
Pump the brakes dude! Not many teams can replace a starting 5 (Epps, Shannon, Melendez, Hawkins, Mayer) and not have a severe drop off. If Shannon and Hawkins don’t come back, this will be a 20+ loss team. Worse than 2018-19.
Is the RJ divorce equally as diplomatic? All of it feels so fake? Brad stuck with RJ all season despite his shortcomings and celebrated his late season growth. What a strange time.It was a more of a mutual parting of ways … It just wasn’t going to be a fit moving forward in a lot of ways …
I am seriously considering retiring to Paducah now. Wow!View attachment 24750
me too brother.....it's how I'm built....................speaking of built ..............enjoy....................

NL # 4 agrees with you....she's a very agreeable woman.......she really really really really really is................................
I'm sure you already have him ignored, Pru!
I don't doubt that TA is a lovely guy, but Campbell decommitted from DePaul on September 2, 2017. Brad Underwood had yet to coach a game at Illinois. How much does Tyger liking/wanting to play for Tim Anderson outweigh NIL $$$?
a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away..............................I'm sure you already have him ignored, Pru!
Handlers and family. NCAA Basketball is scarier than when the mob started taking over VegasIt has been thrown about a lot here that Epps leaving is all on Underwood and his yelling. I will say I want to go back to the pre-portal, pre-sponsorship, pre-college agents, pre-college salary, pre-free agent market tearing up teams every year times.
Why even associate with a college? This is just becoming NBA-lite.
Class of ‘93… and it’s been downhill since we lost our Chief!
And just like that, the Internet proved its worth to me today. Thanks pru!View attachment 24760Now you got me pondering aboot sources......hot sources , mild sources . medium sources or chunky salsa sources .........speaking of sources , here's one hot source for everyone.............super hot sources.........

If you think BU, TA, and Chester are not going to roll out a team that will compete for a B10 title. Get ahold of me, I've got plenty of money to throw around against your "20 loss team thought."Not many teams can replace a starting 5 (Epps, Shannon, Melendez, Hawkins, Mayer) and not have a severe drop off. If Shannon and Hawkins don’t come back, this will be a 20+ loss team. Worse than 2018-19.
I don’t know bro. I kinda remember being 18-20. I was too dumb to know how dumb I was. I am still dumb but at least now I know it. I think. Maybe. I don’t know. Nevermind.I think that after a few years of this and a bunch of kids getting caught out in the portal and seeing the grass isn’t always greener, this will level out some. At least I hope. This isn’t as rewarding to watch as it used to be.
