The relegation list…
That's a sad list...
But academically speaking - not a bad list to be a part of...Cal, Duke, UVA....
That's a sad list...
given our impending disconnect with ESPN, think its possible we never host a Gameday
That's a sad list...
If ESPN actually cared about making an effort to come to every school, they would have come last year for Week 0 when we were the only interesting game in the nation. They certainly would have been there if the game was in Ireland. But no they don't care. "Screw Champaign there's no need to go there."

one of my sons went to Ole MissThis isn't so much a uniform post as it is an atmosphere post.
The atmosphere at Memorial Stadium has been pretty sad the past few years. I do remember a time when the stadium rocked though. Under Zook and especially Mike White the stadium atmosphere was unreal. Of course we had winning football teams, but before these coaches came we were awful, too. We just need a few good years to make this stadium fun again.
I haven't been to many college stadiums, but I have been to Ole Miss many times. When Illinois is good the atmosphere definitely competes with SEC schools. I remember a few short years ago when Michigan came to town for an evening broadcast on CBS. Brent Musburger did the pre-game show outside the stadium and the crowd was drunk and raucous. I remember thinking this is what college football is all about. I miss those days, so much.
The only Ole Miss game I saw with a better atmosphere inside the stadium (the atmosphere outside the stadium at Ole Miss is unmatched anywhere), was when Ole Miss beat Alabama in Oxford in 2014. It was unbelievable...I almost felt guilty for being there.

There's nothing like it! Illini fans need to make the trip down there at least once. The tickets are reasonably priced too. If you know someone who sets up in the grove, it's even more fun. The more the merrier in The Grove! Their slogan is...We may not always win the game, but we never lose the party! Dang...now I feel the need to order tickets!one of my sons went to Ole Miss
game day there , in The Grove , is football heaven . nothing else comes close .
inside the stadium , is fun, but it’s the 5 hours pregame and 3 hours post game that’s unmatched .
My nephew is there now. I hope to get out there for a football weekend.one of my sons went to Ole Miss

one thing you will notice , is how pretty the coeds are there and how pretty the moms are also . it’s really unparalleled anywhere elseMy nephew is there now. I hope to get out there for a football weekend.
Congratulations! What a great group of leaders! I wonder if the coaches chose them or the players voted. Doesn’t really matter because they are all awesome representatives of Fighting Illini Football.
Considering the lack of white on those blue uniforms and our orange pants, I’d totally support this as our main home uniform this year, at least until new uniforms! Not far off those great throwbacks from 2008.
Its actually Friday.. And I will be there and cant wait! Also, I was browsing an IU board to see what they might have to say about our game, and someone said we sold out our allotment for that away game … if that’s true, major props to our fans for it being a Thursday game!
I feel like they are generally a delusional fan base that knows very, very little of the world outside of the state of Indiana. So yeah, they seemed pretty optimistic OR pessimistic in some weird, self-flattering way like some type of a "It's IU, we are a basketball school!" vibe. I am recalling solely from memory, but I also feel like quite a lot started to view themselves as a truly competitive/good program and did NOT take the disappointment of last year well, and therefore they are confidently expecting a rebound. That Indiana game is critical for building momentum. We always talk about how difficult it is to win the first road game of a season. If we can break that mold at Indiana but make it hold true for Virginia, we'll be well on our way to a successful season. BTW, how optimistic was the IU board?
Still waiting, in vain apparently, for a comment from @billybaroo.
