Same way we beat Minnesota, who according to advanced stats are a stylistically similar and almost as good team: have the ball way more than they do.
And finish with touchdowns and not fieldgoals!

I am optimistic about Purdue.
Someone tell me how we beat MU?
A healthy dose of McCray, Brown, with occasional play action to control the clock. Keep our defense fresh. I see us with a better than good shot in this game. If I were in a casino on November 19th, I would put $50 on us to cover the spread, which will probably be about 10 points. I would love to be in Vegas on that weekend, watching the basketball team in the Vegas tournament, and watching college football on Saturday. What a fun weekend that would be.

In all the success that we've had this year it seems like nobody has talked about the oline at all besides Palczewski. Basically an entirely new group and they've been great about opening up holes for Chase, not having a lot of negative rushing plays, and keeping Devito pretty clean. As a unit they've only allowed 11 sacks on the season which is pretty good compared to some previous years we've seen especially considering the quality of defenses we've played as well. Feel like we need to give them a little shout out for the work they're doing.

Reminder that Bielema is one win away from tying Beckman's career wins and two wins away from tying Lovie's career wins at Illinois.
Is there even any competition for B1G COTY right now? I suppose an argument could be made for Harbag, but to do so would have to acknowledge how much scUM underperformed in recent years.

Big Ten Today (BTN) from Wednesday offered some stellar coverage of the Illini.

- Current favorite to win the West Division; a legit Top 15 program nationally
- Ranked as the #3 team in the entire Big 10 (ahead of both Purdue & Penn State)
- Considered a real challenge to Michigan on November 19th (thus putting in jeopardy a match-up of undefeated UM vs. undefeated OSU)
- Lots of praise for the program from special guest & football analyst Pat Forde
- Chase Brown discussed as one of three Heisman candidates in the conference
