The problem with the spring game for the worriers among us (believe it or not, we have some worriers) is if the passing game works we freak out about the pass defense. If the pass defense shuts down the passing game we freak out about the quarterback and receivers. The same is true of the running game. Players are going to play, worriers are going to worry.
Do you know how many Bears seasons "ended" after the third pre-season game?
From the reviews I've read, everything with this team is going about as expected. The concerns I have are Bailey/Chrysler/some others I can't remember missing spring ball. Hard to stack days without being able to get reps in, specially for players you'd like to see improve in 2nd years.
There are some “elite” worriers on here too.

I've always felt like that red hat guy was an enemy of the fans.
This is not how to go about shortening games. Shorten the broadcast, not the game itself.

When they went to live tackling, IW, Randolph, Newton and a few others were all out.
Fun night overall, it wasn't too cold and players & fans seemed to have a good time. There were lots of alums and recruits on the sidelines. It was great to see Witherspoon on the sidelines too.

Taking about worriers, I am watching bits of Nebraska's spring game and people in Lincoln should be panic mode lol. Lots of turnovers and near turnovers. Heck Matt Rhule looks unnatural in Nebraska colors.
Now watch Nebraska have their best season since the 1990s lol.
My dad would always pretend to have a blow dart gun and try to hit the "Red Hat Man" whenever he'd come out onto the field. We'd talk about the direction of the wind and how much we'd have to adjust our aim to hit him from the west balcony. Nothing fatal, just to take a quick little nap. But alas, the BTN needs to sell it's Barbasol.

where's the Altmyer critic now?
Was there a critic? Maybe I tuned that person out as I hope Altmyer crushes it this year.
Though having a good “game” against our own 2nd string defense isn’t really something that would quiet critics.
Recall that a year ago, Tommy DeVito was 14 of 16 passing. And he had a refreshingly good season for us.
Hopefully it’s a sign of growth for our OC play calling too and a QB able to execute to score.
I had posted what I'd seen at a scrimmage and heard outside of that and was putting it out there to see if anyone else had seen/heard the same things. Never was a critic, glad to be proven wrong at this point and hope he is successful.
It's like you can't say anything against anyone without immediately being put into a camp of hate or love him. Since when can we not criticize someone fairly based on real, live play? I was and am still excited we have a high-potential qb locked up for 3 years.

Good news is that this shouldn't conflict with my anniversary dinner like last year's Iowa game did.
Should work for me too since I think that's homecoming weekend in Charleston. Will just have to maneuver around my schedule a bit that Friday.
