Do we get at least 45k for Toledo?
God, I hope so. FWIW, that would be a pretty great accomplishment for this fan base, given recent history:

- Our best attendance for a season opener since 48,644 for Lovie's first game.
- About a 19% increase over last year's season opener vs. Wyoming.
- A crowd comparable with what we drew for Minnesota last year and MORE than we drew for Iowa.

With that said, I am so desperate for us to have a great gameday atmosphere worthy of the program Bret is building that I am hoping for close to 48k. I understand we are not close to that right now given the previous sellout tracker post, but if we are drawing 48k for Toledo, we are likely above 55k for PSU and therefore will have a crowd that looks full on a national stage.

Want the crowd volume of Iowa last year, with the orange wearing from the Minnesota game, and crowd size from MSU for Big Noon Kickoff
From your keyboard to God's ears (eyes?)!! :ROFLMAO:  :hailtotheorange:

Now that you mention that, it was weird how those three variables were kind of spread out between those games! I watched all three on TV, of course, but the crowd got louder than it's been in years at points during the Iowa game, even though the upper deck was mostly empty. Then the Minnesota game seemed a bit quieter but yet looked more full/definitely popped more with orange. Then we finally get a great crowd for the MSU game, with the balcony looking full for the first time in years, and it's neither orange nor loud! I am guessing that mostly had to do with (1) the crazy windy weather that day leading to a lot of jackets and/or (2) the wind plus a totally uninspiring loss leading to a muted AND less enthusiastic crowd.

Wife got this in her email. She got accepted to an undergraduate program for childcare. Anyone know if that validates her to get student ticket section/offers? I would love to be up in the Orange Crush section this year.

The wind can play a huge factor in crowd noise carrying to the microphones as well. Who knows. I was at the Minnesota game and it seemed pretty loud at times.

Is John Paddock on the coaching staff as a GA (or other similar position/role) in the next year or two? He just sounds like a coach, and everyone seems to call him out for his leadership and influence (similar to Art Sitkowski). He seems like he'd be a great addition after he's done playing, but do we have room for two guys like that?

The awesome thing about QBs is that they understand coverages, they understand receiver roles, running back roles, they have to look at the front and at blitzes. If they are coach material, they don't need to be QB specialists. IMO.

My guess is that Art moves on (it's a good thing for GA's and young coaches to branch out and learn from as many experienced coaches as possible) and Paddock takes Art's job
