I think we need another WR and RB. McCray is always hurt and got banged up in the first half and Elzy is pretty much the MVP at WR in the first half. Capka-Jones and Dixon did some nice things, but would like to see another difference maker. So far, not too bad for a Scrimmage. Just stay healthy.

I have to sadly agree. Apologies to Fighter, and to Robert, and anyone else. I LOVE Illinois football and have many happy memories in that stadium.

But I think you need to spend NIL where the best return is possible, and at Illinois that is on basketball. Been waiting 40+ years to get back to those 80s years in football, I just have more hope (and have seen more recent results) in hoops. Just saw those boys finish #6 in the country and I think I could live another 40 years (unlikely!) and not see that in football.

I believe Bret will help take this program in the right direction; he is a pro and an excellent coach. It gives me hope for Illinois Football, and I have not had any hope we'd build a solid program in a long time.

Seven+ wins are on the table for us this year, but I'll take six and a bowl game. The primary concern is the secondary; I could see it on Bret's face. We have to get another player or two to fill the gaps.
