I had not known that brother. Great man and huge influence in many life's! Thank you, for bringing that up!
I can definitely see that. Huge catch radius, long, athletic.
Big loss, but had a feeling he was rising too fast to stick around for long
I wonder if it was bigger money, bigger role, or both.Big loss, but had a feeling he was rising too fast to stick around for long
Dang he's been huge for us.. In state guys seem to be the best for this job, so hope we go that route again
I knew things were going too well for us. Some bad news always pops up at some point. Hopefully we can get a good replacement.
I wonder if it was bigger money, bigger role, or both.
Big question for you then: how much does this hurt the recruiting momentum? It seems that trajectory of the program and connections with coaches should be most important, but clearly he was doing a great job making inroads. Both … And his old boss at ND just moved over to USC …
I won’t get too much into specifics but it was obvious that there was going to be change in the recruiting department … This just isn’t the change I was expecting …
Not Indy but....Dre was obviously a big part of it but so is our GM Pat Embleton and I think the on the field coaches play a bigger role in the momentum and recruiting than Dre.Big question for you then: how much does this hurt the recruiting momentum? Does this derail things with Anderson, Sutter and Rankin?Big question for you then: how much does this hurt the recruiting momentum? It seems that trajectory of the program and connections with coaches should be most important, but clearly he was doing a great job making inroads.

Probably putting a little too much stock in the recruiting staffers. Important but Bret, Lunney, Art most important for them. Edit: Forgot SteppDoes this derail things with Anderson, Sutter and Rankin?

Derail is a little bit strong … Bret, and his main group of assistants have to be the ones to get the job done …
It’s recruiting department job to make the job for Bret and those guys easier …
But losing Dre hurts some in state relationships and especially relationships in Indiana … No doubt about that …
Let’s see what direction Bret goes for replacement … That’ll determine a lot … Bret doesn’t want to lose momentum and won’t lose momentum … You can bet youron that …
USC and UCLA have been losing strong CA recruits to Oregon (and elsewhere) for a good decade or so now. Hopefully nothing changes lol. I will forever root against USC and UCLA because how they tried to screw Oregon from joining the B1G after they started the implosion of the PAC12 and forced U of O to take half revenue shares from the B1G.Both … And his old boss at ND just moved over to USC …
