I thought a TKD master named Kim would be Korean.

I agree that Matt Rhule isn't a bad head coach for Nebraska. But I think he has been seriously overrated since getting hired into the position. All of the prognosticators assumed that he was automatically a top 1/3 of the B1G coach. Everyone wanted to slot him in above Bielema as recently as this past offseason, and very clearly Bielema has proven himself at multiple stops much better than Rhule has. Day, Franklin, Lanning, Bielema, Ferentz, Fleck, Riley, and now Cignetti all have reason to be ranked above Rhule, and some other options like Fickell and Smith have a case too. Honestly, at this point what is the difference between Rhule's resume and Schiano's? Rhule could still help Nebraska break through to the top half of the conference. But let's not make it seem that Rhule is something that he hasn't proven himself to be yet.
just another list, but it's nice to see us getting attention:

Bret Bielema appreciation post! I was very cautiously optimistic with the hire, but he has exceeded expectations by a mile so far. Kudos to JW for getting him on board, and hopeful for many years at the helm!! Guys know what they are doing on the football side of the house.

ahhhh, Boufield didnt exist when I lived in Hopkins 1979-80. It was a parking lot
Same. I said to myelf, "What the hell is Bousfield?'. I think suggesting these guys take a couple classes in the summer is a good idea. Getting to know the campus, class environment and community, would be a good start for these student/athletes.

I’m also really interested to see how Fickell does this year. In fairness, he did lose his QB to injury last year. But I also think the injured QB covers up the fact that they weren’t very competitive in a lot of their losses. In fact, their most competitive loss was against Oregon, whom I suspect would have pulled that one out regardless. I think they were likely a 5-7 team regardless of who was under center.

To fix it, it seems like Fickell went really heavy in the transfer portal. History seems to have shown that you can’t build a football team on the fly quite like you can in basketball (and even in BB continuity helps a lot). Generally college football teams that do well are teams full of upper class men who have been in the same systems and doing the same things for 3/4/5 years.

Huge year for Bucky. Fickell could right the ship but they are also in danger of slipping into Nebraska territory. Paul Chryst could be their Bo Pellini.

Nebraska good Ole days have been gone. They have only 2 winning seasons in the last 10 years. Those great recruits out of California and Florida from the past no longer go to Nebraska. They only got their QB now because of family ties. There are way too many teams in the conference for them to be perennial conference championship contenders. They can be like Iowa but the fans wouldn't be happy with that approach.

I second that. Also it's enjoyable, even though it's a random list, to see Wisconsin firmly seated at the back of the plane.
I am wildly optimistic that we are positioned to take a shot at the league title. My hot take is that we have never before been built to compete like we are presently.
Big ten titles: 1910, 1914, 1915, 1918, 1919, 1923, 1927, 1928, 1946, 1951, 1953, 1963, 1983, 1990, 2001
