Does anyone know how to purchase parking passes for football games this year? I didn't see anything on the FightingIllini.com website.
Parking passes available on the Tickets page. And day-of parking available in some lots Parking Map.

Not sure if this is a pay article or not, but the author of this ESPN article certainly thinks IU is in a much more favorable position than Illinois. I chuckled, as I disagree with a lot of the analysis, but it shows that getting to the playoff does go a long way in how people view the program.

The good news is that the Illini have every opportunity this season to take a step forward. We are due for a victory at IU after what happened a couple of seasons ago.

I think the point being made is that last season does not matter anymore. It is a brand new year, and what happened last year has no direct impact on the games this year. IU was very good last season, and took advantage of their schedule. The only gripe I have with IU is their coach complaining about SEC schools and their schedules, all the while scheduling the softest non-conference schedules. Hopefully the soft non-conference schedule will bite them in the butt and we go in and beat them.
Some polls I’ve seen…it’s who made the playoff last year and put them up high. Knock down SMU and Boise.
A lot of QB movement for top teams. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Thank you. Unfortunately, parking passes for the game I'm going to (Oct. 11, OSU) are already sold out and same day is a bit risky for me as I'm driving from out of state. Do you know of any other lots relatively close from where I can park and then take an Uber? Seetgeak, etc., have passes but they are gouging. Thank you for your help.

Getting anxious about our tickets. We have season tickets paper tickets and would like to have them in hand. Actually it’s my wife who is more concerned. First game is getting close…

I would assume they would arrive next week. They sent out an email that the electronic tickets would be delivered this week.

Another ESPN uneducated twatwaffle opinion.🤬

Check out this link to the City’s Bus system, that runs special routes on game days. They have maps you can download showing all the game day stops. We’ve used it twice before, pretty handy!

Plenty of angst regarding the wide receivers. Not a lot of returning production. What I'm wondering about is whether we can see more passing to the running backs. The last two years, since Chase left, we've had very limited receptions out of the backfield. Is this a result of our scheme or personnel?

It seems this might be a great way to adjust to the WR issue.

"Plenty of angst regarding the wide receivers."

Not for me.

Illini receivers could be a real team strength this year . Especially with an experienced QB and solid O-Line.

This is the way. Some of the bars may offer shuttle service. Several businesses on Neil become paid parking as well

You can try the Vet Med lot. I've parked there when I've been in a pinch and didn't have a pre-paid pass. You will probably have to get there early if the game is a sellout or near sellout and it's a haul to the stadium but they do have a shuttle service that picks up every 15-20 Minutes or so. They'll drop you off at the corner of 4th St. and Kirby.

I agree while we don’t have a Pat Bryant this year - we have a lot of depth with experience. Hopefully it leads to distributing the ball all over the field and hard to cover- I would think Luke feels comfortable with 5/6 guys this year in the WR room alone then the TE room as experience as well

Clement
Beaty
Dixon
Elzy
Bowick
Hollins
Capka- Jones

No superstars, but lots of guys who can get open and catch the ball

Most excited Barry has been for the WR room in a long time.

The author of that article is drunk. My favorite part is the very first prediction is for Texas to miss the playoffs, which is insane, but the author mentions "Texas is currently the favorite to win the national championship according to ESPN BET". Can't make this stuff up.

Truly. Someone posted in the coaches thread how bad the pre-season polls have been recently. 13 of 25 teams in the final poll in 2024 were preseason unranked. That means just as many fell out. I think these get more attention than they deserve because of the way past NC game(s) were determined. With only 2 or 4 teams, you had to have positive PR or an impeccable record. Heck, even undefeated teams have been left out (FSU anyone?).

With 12 teams and a committee format, the impact of the pre-season poll has dropped dramatically. While waiting for the games to actually be played, we get "analysis" and clickbait. All part of the fun.
