As would I. I am about as optimistic as it comes with the Illini, but I find it hard to get to where the article suggests.
I am not sure how they completely ignore @Washington as a potential worry, especially if the Illini come off a loss to OSU.
I think this should settle the "the entire media is biased against the Illini".

The bye week between OSU and Washington mitigates some of the worry. And Washington plays Michigan at Michigan the week before coming home to face a rested Illini squad.

This was a popular take for many years when we stank, but I don't think anyone espouses this now. Today it is more aligned with the TV contracts and media company ownership thereof. So it is not surprising that a site from the FOX/CBS/NBC family puts us higher and ABC/ESPN puts us lower. They have a fiduciary responsibility to be biased.

I guess I don't understand why anyone would think, say, FOX would have a bias toward Illinois that they didn't toward, say, Indiana or Iowa.
I also don't understand it, but I've seen it with my own eyes (more in relation to ESPN, than Fox, but same concept).
I hope Scott can be back for USC?

But i think losing Bailey was the difference between no bowl and 7 or 8 wons two years ago.

WIU - WMU - @Purdue - Rutgers - Maryland - @Wisconsin - Northwestern
Go at least 3-2 in the toss-up/underdog games:
@Duke - @Indinia - USC - Ohio $tate - @Washington
A loss tomorrow would not be great but also not fatal. We’d really need to beat USC though. I vote we just go ahead and win both.

Let's not act like this season's over after a humiliating loss on national TV lol... Burn the film and move on. Trust the program stability that we've been talking up for some time now. Call it a wake up call to coaches and players to bring it up a notch!! Unlike the past I truly believe "this team" can take a punch and get back up like it ain't no thang
