With his speed and after the catch playmaking ability if things work out at all I would hope we double his receptions next year.

That was the old transfer portal days. Nothing to fear about putting on a spring game anymore. There is no more spring transfer portal. Transfer portal is over. Transfer Portal doesn’t open again until January 2027
Spring portal window was eliminated so that shouldn't be a reason. Really I think it's just that coaches want to use that as an actual practice instead of an exhibition
