Nail in the coffin on the Spring Game, as many have speculated.

I think it’s interesting that Cam Thomas is listed at 6’. His recruiting profiles all had him at 6’2

IMO he'll be ready as a true freshman. Think a few positions people have questions about will wind up being strengths.

We shall see. Grant Beerman didn’t have much impact as a freshman. I think Thomas will play but it will limited. Relying on a true freshman lb isn’t a good spot to be in

I'm not saying he'll be a starter or not, just that I think he'll be ready. Beerman is a different situation because he has had to grow into his stature at 6'5. Thomas is more ready made physically IMO. I am very high on the LB room for the foreseeable future with them Williams, etc. (As well as Brown for his senior year).

that's not good, but I'm a lot more concerned about his listed weight: 200! (pretty sure he was listed at 218 by 247 as a prep). fully get that he's fast and very lean, but that's way too lean for the BIG

Yeah Bret said on the zoom it was because he didn’t want a visual getting out there of what the defense looks like. I really don’t like that decision. The Spring Game is for the fans.

Moving Feagin to a TE/H back spot is definitely best for his own NFL potential. Really comes down to his blocking but with his speed I think he’s the type of athlete at TE that NFL teams might like

I think it has less to do with the fans/media(spring games are the most vanilla schemes imaginable) and more to do with not giving guys the illusion of a set depth chart to keep them from feeling antsy about playing time.

I always find it funny when you compare the difference of the recruiting profiles to what the programs list the player at. I remember Purdue had Luke Williams at 5’10 150lbs….

I like the freshman linebackers but if they are playing a lot we are in trouble.

OTOH, Cobbs @ 215 is very encouraging. but, yeah, true frosh playing is typically cause for concern.

Paris and Beerman look like they've been a big boy S&C lab for a year and much more ready

Im the closer to the ball you are the harder it is to play as an underclassmen. Guys like Kadyn Proctor can play as true freshman.

But we (as fans) have no idea how we are going to line up and there is no Spring event for us to get glimpse. Do I have that part correct?
