Gotta be extremely nerve-wracking to be in that position for that Denver gal.

No, I am not on Golfstat's payroll. I just appreciate a job very well done.

I assume Illinois won't get to play at Atkins, but maybe that's not true. Anyone know if that is allowed?

They will play at Atkins. Big benefit to hosting.

Illini women doing very well at B1G in Maryland. Long way to go.

May make NCAA field. My advice is to do it the easy way: win the B1G, get at a automatic berth. Can do.

They seem to be peaking at the right time.

--------

Illini men at Boilermaker Invitational. Some B1G teams in the field. Show 'em how it's done.

Go Illini.

Jackson at +3 early? Go Jackson.

Down to 6th now (after 6 holes).

Looks like 7th to wrap up the day. Some teams really turned up their play in this 2nd round. 14 strokes behind the leader, Purdue.

Purdue is playing on their home course which is a big advantage. However, no way to spin this as a good performance. These are not highly ranked teams in this tourney. Purdue might be the highest - at #37, compared to our #11. Still time to right the ship.

Congrats to Iilini women. Third at B1G. I think they're in the NCAA.

Nice comeback by Illini men.

But why do they start so slow?

Go at Baltimore and beyond.

yeah, it is again the same story of not keep the floor higher, had to card two +2s for the tourney, one in the second and one in the third round. We need just a bit more from the Ryan/Ethan/Trey trio, Ryan occasionally goes low and then goes high, if we could get Trey and Ethan to just be solid that is a mix that can work. Max and Jackson are a great 1-2. It is the mix down the line that doesn't always give us cover.

On a positive note, Jake dominated the individual competition at Purdue. They played on a different course, so your really can't compare scores with the guys on the team event, but definitely a good sign for the future.

Happy Gilmore is an actual player for Ball State?!?! Wild.

Jake crushed it! Very impressive, and should be good learning experiences for the guys trying to post that final score.

I sometimes overlook the individual players. Thanks. Go Jake.
