Illini Golf 2025-2026
We are lighting it up today. Still on the front 9 and we are -7 and in second place at -20. Max and Dane are -9 and -5 both top 10. Trey is -4 in 12th place. We are 7 back of LSU.
This team is so talented. They just have to clean up a few of the small mistakes. Ryan and Freddie having double bogeys and Dujuan with a triple (he’s still 1- for the day). I think Dujuans high upside means you go with him moving forward. Trey is on fire too, if he takes that big leap forward as a sophomore. And we still have Jake who showed flashes as a freshman. Looking at the team as a whole wouldn’t be shocked if Ethan maybe transfers next year. He can play but he’s not got much room on the team even with Ryan leaving he’s the only one. Buttress probably does too and goes to a low d1 school maybe, Ethan could start at like a Michigan or Minnesota.
Max is at -12 and we are in 3rd place only 5 back of LSU. We are throwing darts at the greens.
We closed the final round at -16, so far the best score of the tourney.

Great result. I hope one of the options for the 5th spot emerges as the clear cut guy by mid to late spring
