The British Amateur kicks off next week with strong Illini representation - Max, Dane, Ethan, Freddie and Stijn Egging (class of 2027) are all in the field. Play starts Monday with two days of stroke play, top 64 advance to match play (same format as the U.S. Amateur).

While the U.S. Open was underway, two of the top amateur events took place. In the Sunnehanna Amateur, Jake was tied for the lead with one hole to play before UNC's Grant Roscich birdied the 18th to seal the win. Congrats to Jake on the runner-up, and to Trey who finished T10!
The British Amateur had five Illini in the field, but unfortunately no one qualified for the match play (top 64). Max was close - T76, only one shot off of making the playoff.
