I think every player will have his own approach to sudden death.
It looks like he picked a good one.

He thought resting and getting out of the heat was the best way to go rather than pounding balls on the range or putting. It was a good break to relax and get your mind right.
Nick finished in a tie for 8th at -4, 6 strokes off the lead.Nick being 4 back cannot get any screen time as they are focusing on an amateur, Sargent, Hossler and Amoya. Nick needs a birdie with three holes left to get on the leaderboard. If Nick could win this, it would be 4 wins by former Illini this year. He needs a good tourney to get back on track of keeping his card
He finished near the bottom of the leaderboard, 18 strokes behind the winnerDetry made the cut at the Scottish Open. Nine strokes off the lead. Campbell missed the cut.

Yes he did but missed several opportunities to get a top 2 finish. He gained 9 spots on the Fed Ex standings where he is 164. He needs to find a win and for Nick, the Barracuda is next. After that he will only have the 3M and Wyndham to try to get top 125. Next year the criteria is changing from top 125 to keep your card to top 100.Nick finished in a tie for 8th at -4, 6 strokes off the lead.
I found out about a week ago that I'll be hosting Luke Guthrie at my house during the KFT Pinnacle Bank Championship in Omaha 3 weeks from now. He's made the cut in 2 of the last three events and had the first-round lead in one of them after an opening 64 so it looks like his game is getting there. Hopefully he'll be around for the weekend, I'm super excited about this. The top ten finish moves Nick from 173rd to 164th in the Fedex Cup standings. Plenty of work to get to the top 100, but if he gets hot anything can happen. By my count he has nine events left (not counting the Open, the playoffs and Japan which is a small field), and will play this weekend at the Barracuda Championship.
ADC flirted with the top of the leaderboard in the KFT before falling to T19. He is 28th in KFT points, and needs to get to the top 20 to get his Tour card back. Luke Guthrie, who just missed the cut, is 91st and would have to climb to the top 75 to keep his KFT status.
Detry and Campbell, with much more secure status, will tee it up Thursday at the Open. Brian is making his first start at the final major.
Hopefully Brian is more settled in this week as it was a whirlwind last week. Let go guys, Royal Portrush can play difficult like most Open courses. Let’s get a couple of top 10’s this week from Brian and Thomas.Tee times for the Open are posted (all times CDT):
Thurs/Fri
2:14a/7:15a: Thomas Detry, Chris Gotterup, Mackenzie Hughes
9:43a/2:42a: Brian Campbell, John Catlin, Frazer Jones (a)
Portrush showed its teeth today with the wind this afternoon. Plus 1 or 2 is not as bad round. I would bet the cut line will be around 4 over the way things will play out.Detry in a tie for 45th place at +1, 5 strokes back.
Campbell in a tie for 70th at +2.
Top 70 and ties after Friday play the weekend.
Yep. Cut was at +1.Looks like Detry is safe, but not Campbell. Good experience nevertheless

I saw that. Maybe a year back at the Korn Ferry will give him the opportunity to find his game. It worked for Campbell.Hardy missed the cut.
My hope as well, its humbling I'm sure but man you see what Campbell has done this year and he is just so advanced from his first time on the tourI saw that. Maybe a year back at the Korn Ferry will give him the opportunity to find his game. It worked for Campbell.
