With the draft threads and others being closed I wasn’t sure where to put this…but anyways

Now appearing in Tampa
Thanks for starting this thread. Any news on Ayo’s contract or roster status? I have seen some positive comments on his summer league play in the latter games. Would link to them if I knew how 😀

Ayo signed a 2 year guaranteed deal 2.48M
In terms of roster status, I think he's expected to be in the guard rotation at the beginning of the season while Coby White is injured, and his play then is going to determine if he can carve out a role for consistent minutes. Hopefully it goes well and he stays up, but I think many are expecting him to spend some time in the G-League to get consistent play time to develop after White returns.

If Ayo plays adequately or better, the Bulls will try to move White.

Looks like Malcolm Hill got a training camp invite with the Pelicans

But it looks like all they have room for is a G-League spot - not even a 2-way deal. This has got to be a tough choice for him. I feel like it's probably now or never for him to get to the NBA, but I have to imagine he'd make a lot more in Europe than the G League, as he's been steadily working his way up the ladder over there.

Looks like Pistons are about to switch a 2 way contract to a standard one for Luka Garza.

I realize he doesn’t fit a modern prototype but at some point you have to go with the guy that produces. Wouldn’t shock me if he had a long career in the NBA maybe ala Brian Cardinal, with a ceiling maybe of being a Lopez brother.
That's a great point. Both of them are still in the league (13 seasons each) and they have made a combined salary of over 230 million dollars. Slow bigs are not completely phased out yet.
