Because the Bulls are to cheap they didn’t want to pay Ayo it’s not to hard to understand with that administration but they did pay for useless Patrick Williams

It's not about the Bulls being "cheap" (They're not by the way). I agree with one of the radio commentators I heard in the wake of the trade. Instead of doing what they did, you re-sign Ayo and then use him as a chip to trade for a superstar down the line. As much as people on here may not want to hear this, Ayo can be a piece for a great team but he can't be the centerpiece of that team.

Has anyone on here ever actually suggested Ayo could be the "centerpiece" for a great team?

We had someone on here saying Ayo was worthy of an $80 million contract. Even with how crazy NBA contracts are nowadays, he's not worth that money.

That being said, there are people on here that i think view Ayo and TSJ through a different prism because they went to Illinois and don't really understand how the modern NBA works. I seriously wonder if they went to any other B1G school (or hell, any other program for that matter) if people on here would view them the same way.

I think this is an instance where going to a bad team likely helped his cause.
It 100% did. He landed in the most favorable spot for playing time for any of our recent players. And the moves they made this trade season wil help him too. Not so much for the playing time but the guys he gets to play with now.
