Illini in the Pros (Basketball)

Just barely scratching the surface of what his future could be.

Two gem prospects, both could wind up All-Stars, but I wouldn't trade Riley for Wagler.
I tend to agree. Riley has a frame and offensive skillset that seems absolutely tailor-made for the NBA. As much as I love Wagler's game, I think there's a lower ceiling for him just because of his less-than-ideal athleticism.

The one caveat I do have about Wagler's athleticism is that we should wait and see what a couple of years in a NBA sports performance program will do for him. Riley is a good example of this. The kid really doesn't look like the same person as he was at this time last year. I could very easily see Keaton putting on 15-20 pounds and really improving his explosiveness and quickness. He may never be elite in that area, but I think he has a good chance to improve substantially in that area.

Even if being his hometown, the best move for Ayo was to go to MN. Bulls are clueless. Now Ayo getting some national love and helping Ant and company thru a playoff run.

Now let’s get TJ healthy and back on the playoff roster.

Well atleast the bulls got 4 2nd rounds picks for Dosunmu, maybe they get lucky and one of those 2nd round picks will turn into another Dosunmu!
Dosunmu should be a Chicago Bull and Karnisovas is who we have to thank for screwing that up. The fact that he was out 2 months after making that trade tells you all you need to know about how much that guy didn't have a clue what he was doing. Would love to see Ayo re-sign with the Bulls in the offseason but starting to think that him getting a taste of playing with a competent organization will definitely impact his decision on where to sign in the future

The fact that AK never saw Ayo as a cornerstone for the future of the Bulls explains how moronic that guy truly was. All of us Illini fans have seen it for years now. Not a surprise to any of us yet AK clearly devalued him. All I can do is shake my head

I will stick to this opinion: The Bulls were one big man star away from being a competitive 4/5 seed caliber in the East. Between Giddey, Matas, Ayo, and Coby, they had the wings and the positional length and all they needed was a big man to complement that core 4 either through free agency or a trade

I watched the entire game and last night Ayo was the best basketball player out there. (Jaden McDaniels was also great). Better than Ant and definitely more efficient than Joker.
He was flying around everywhere. Love to see it from an all time great.

Brad also got a shoutout midway through the game.
