I don't think I've ever seen Ayo play with this level of confidence. His downhill speed is blistering.

I'm on record on this blog saying some time ago that Ayo had All-Star potential. He still has untapped talent - and most of all, the drive and desire to bring that talent out.

And it certainly helped him to get away from the toxic environment of the Bulls. It was nice that he got to play for his hometown team. But he was never going to thrive here.

Meanwhile, Talen Horton Tucker is in Turkey.
Believe THT still has him beat in career earnings due to leaving college earlier and getting an overly generous 2nd contract.

Ayo will eclipse him by a ton with his 3rd contract and possibly ser a 4th one as well.

43 from a 2nd round pick. Tell me the Bulls didn’t misuse Ayo in his time there. Ayo was one of the most clutch players we ever had at Illinois. I’m convinced we got kicked out of NCAA’s because of the again baloney Mich St player breaking his nose. He was not quite the same after that for the rest of the year.

The thing with Ayo that became very clear here once we got good, he is the rare person that genuinely craves the pressure and spotlight of the big game, big shot, big moment.

A lot of guys are capable of performing under that microscope, but with Ayo it's like he only truly feels like himself in those situations.

Him dropping to the 38th pick just gets more ridiculous by the year, the league just screwed that eval up completely. They saw a one-dimensional player in a way that you had to squint really hard to justify at the time and it was immediately clear was completely wrong.

never thought i’d say it but i’ll be watching quite a bit of the NBA playoffs it appears
We'll see if the Wolves can close out the Nuggets.

If Edwards and DiVincenzo are out long term (which appears to be the case) they will need more of that from Ayo and will need good minutes from TSJ too.

If they can get one more win despite those injuries you would figure they're a sitting duck for the Spurs, but who knows!
