In the Wolves’ last 3 playoff games, which I believe were the only 3 where both Ant and Ayo were healthy enough to start, TJ got just under 20 minutes a game.

Barring another roster move to bring in another guard who would play over TJ, I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t get about that next year.

I don't think a package exists that the T-Wolves could have put together to out-bid what the Heat sent over, but if there were it would certiainly have to include Ayo and McDaniels. Even then, don't see how you make it happen. Those are probably the two best value guys on that roster, but the problem is they are older and more expensive than Kel'el Ware and KJ (meaning they are pieces to build around now, and it's not clear if that's what the Bucks want to do), and the T-Wolves don't really have high-ceiling young players (sorry Joan Beringer!) or a stockpile of future draft picks to tap into.

TLDR: This trade was never going to happen.

Backcourt - Ayo, ANT. TSJ is clear first one off the bench. He proved himself in playoffs.
Backcourt Bench - Conley (39 years old) 18 mpg Bones Hyland 16 mpg, Jaylen Clark 13 mpg, Dante D 30 mpg (out for season)
Front Court - Gobbert, Reid, Ingles (if he is not injured)

Great opportunity for TSJ. He will backup ANT and Ayo. Plus he can play SF to gobble Randle minutes

I don’t think it was the biggest reason by any stretch, but I do think TSJ’s emergence in the playoffs made trading Randle an easier decision.

With Donte, likely out for the season, TSJ is probably the first guy off the bench, and subbing for any of the 3 starting wing/guards. He's in the best position to take advantage.

Agree with you but they still have a mid level exception. Depends on who they sign with it. You would assume it's a front court piece since they have TSJ but we shall see.

Kofi made ~850k (gross) this year. He was the top paid player in the league. The only places that would pay better are NBA, NIL (NCAA), Russian (VTB, SuperLeague), and maybe EuroLeague if he got a near top of league contract.

I could see the Spurs or a team like that picking him up.

He is not a potential double double guy in the NBA. Him playing well in Japan means absolutely nothing to NBA teams. The reason he is not playing in the NBA is because he doesn't do any one thing particularly well. He's a defensive liability on the perimeter and can't make any shot outside of 5 feet. NBA teams might (and this is a huge stretch) take a chance on him if we would maybe develop a midrange game but we all know that he won't do that.

Because defensively his feet are too slow and offensively has has zero game outside of 3 feet. However, I do think he could come in and provide an impact for 5-10 minutes per game because of his size and physicality. I wish he'd get more of an opportunity.

I think Ware is the most valuable piece the Bucks got tbh.

7 foot tall and long armed 22 year old center that can rim run and knock down an open shot while being a good rebounder and solid rim protector.

Tanking has been immensely devalued so I would guess they keep the hometown kid in Herro and try to build around him as the young guy develop.

They now have Kasparis, Burries, Ament, plus 4 more first round picks coming in the next two years. Then see what they have with those guys and younger guys like Rollins and Ware.
