Yes, he looks to to be okay:

From a survivor of 3 fractured vertebrae, it could have been a LOT worse from that hit. I wanted to jump out on that field and jack that Jacksonville DB up! Inexcusable! Yes, the throw contributed, but this is someone’s life.

I believe they picked up the flag because it wasn't helmet to helmet.
IMO, these types of head hunting hits (whether actual contact with the head or not) need to be completely removed from the game of football. It's unnecessary and dangerous for all involved and add nothing of real value to the game. The games will be just as entertaining without sending players to the ER and/or otherwise to an early grave.

Was talking at work about guys I knew would be NFL starters from playing college fantasy football and man, if Chase Brown had elite top end speed he would have won the 2022 Heisman

Caleb Williams had 42 TDs and 5 picks while throwing for over 2k yards that year. Chase wasn't winning the 2022 heisman lol

You can flip the results of several of our games and then Chase would get the "your team is usually bad but you won 10 games this year" boost, aka the RG3 effect

So, what does the defender do, just wait till the catch is made and then let him run a couple of steps. It's his job to make sure the receiver doesn't catch the ball. The hit was hard but was also clean. Didn't lead with the head and went for the body. This is football, there is a reason they get paid what they do. It is a dangerous sport which is one of the reasons it is so popular.

Witherspoon with a Pro Bowl three straight years out the gate. Is he the first Illini to do that? I know he and Butkus were both at the first two years as far as Illini coming into the NFL.

Next Illini HOF? Think Rice will be in by that time (Should be already), but Witherspoon probably the best chance right now with Joseph who has I believe 30+ INT already despite missing most of this season.

We saw Joseph was recently made the highest paid S in history (For a while), so I'm thinking Witherspoon will be the highest paid CB when that time comes (This offseason?). Hell of a recruiting pitch.

Didn't see if anybody else made it, but definitely thought Isaiah Williams should've made it. But if you watch the game, you can easily see why Witherspoon is the highest graded CB. He's arguably the best cover CB AND the best run support CB.

EDIT: Just saw the press release that says Butkus and Witherspoon have both made Pro Bowls in their first three years.

If Williams had done anything aside from the two return TDs he might have gotten some consideration but it was gonna be tough for him to get over Chimere Dike of the Titans. Especially with what Dike has in terms of all purpose yards and kick return yards.

The Jets didn't have any Pro Bowlers at all and the only one who there could have been maybe made an argument for was Nick Folk.

Didn't realize Dike had that great of a year.

There are ways to disrupt a play based on technique and timing without creating "dangerous" collisions. I believe the vast majority of football fans love the game for its speed, power and artistry (like myself), not in anticipation of some bone breaking hit. I'll say no more.
