How good would we have been last year had Trent had one more year of eligibility?

Could’ve played point in a pinch, drain threes, define the culture, play hard D.

Remove Skyy and add Trent and that’s a different team.
I just wish he’d have been healthy at the end of his Super Senior year. He obviously wasn’t and he deserved a second weekend during his time as an Illini.

Just voted for Alfonso for the All-Star team in his league via the link in his tweet.

Who else should give him a vote?

So given that’s it’s been a year, do you guys think Kofi made the right decision to leave?

Can’t says I’ve seen much of his games in Japan, but I hope he gained something out of the experience he couldn’t have got at U of I from a basketball standpoint.

He's getting paid (hard to know what the gap is between his NIL and what he's pulling in yen), is living in one of the coolest countries on the planet, and doesn't have to worry about the academic side of things. Unless he truly would have made significantly more in NIL, I think he made the right decision.

From what I can gather, he and or his family thought he was going to get drafted and sign a deal similar to Ayo's. He probably should have maxed out his NIL and free education.

Lots of factors and only Kofi himself knows all. We are just guessing here. I simply wish Kofi the best and a long pro career.

yea, he was born 30 years too late. Had he left school in 1992, he could have been alot more like Shaq, money wise

Kofi's making $400,000 in Japan with a lot of tax advantages plus free housing. He turned down Utah's offer to join their G League team. It was clearly time for Kofi to leave. He will always be remembered for the banners he helped bring to the SFC. Thanks for your time as an Illini.
