Haven’t watched a ton of the Wolves this year. Why isn’t he playing more? Seems like he brings good energy, efficient scoring, and solid defense.
One big reason is NBA contracts. Wolves paying a couple of veterans a ton of money, this alone makes it harder for Terrence to break through. If he would have been selected top 13, probably different story.

Ayo had the same treatment, but got more time due to injuries and him being so much better than others.

Wolves were kind of figuring things out with Randle for the first few months of the season, and Finch is Thibs Lite when it comes to sticking with rotations when he lands on them. TSJ actually got to start/play a lot over a brief late season stretch when they were shorthanded and he played great.

OKC is so deep, hopefully he can be a part of countering that for the rest of the series.

If I missed it but have watched couple Timber wolves playoff games and don't see TSJ . Is he not on playoff roster or injured, anyone fill me in? Thanks.

Teams typically shorten benches in NBA playoffs. With each game being so key, you may normally only see the starting 5 and maybe 2 or 3 players off the bench get serious minutes. While I'm sure Minnesota would have liked to have played him more before last night, situations may not have been as such for him to get a high amount of playing time.

Game announcers said "he was hurt earlier in Season". Didn't hear any details on that?

Minny have definitely slow played TSJ... I truly believe if they let him fly he would be on all rookie team.

So glad to see him showing up and showing off!!

Fun to see him get that chance --we know he's special and insanely hard working. This was the write-up on ESPN under TSJ. Last sentence is pretty harsh calling him depth, but hopefully the door is open a crack and he'll get to stick his foot down.

Shannon became just the third rookie to score at least 15 points off the bench during the postseason and the first Minnesota player to do so, taking advantage of what was a thumping victory by the Timberwolves. While this was a much-needed win, it is unlikely the Thunder will turn up with the same effort, or lack thereof, when the two teams meet again Monday. Despite Shannon's scoring outburst, he remains nothing more than a depth piece, having played a total of just seven minutes in the previous eight games combined.

One HECK of a depth piece, don't you think?!

They are really deep and their coach plays veterans. Shannon did get minutes when Wolves were dealing with injuries
Shannon Jr. earned praise from coaches and teammates alike after knocking down jump shots and fighting his way into the paint for hard-earned layups.

“You’re definitely going to see him more,” Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said.

We hope. We'll see.

Honestly think he would have made a run at rookie of the year if he was getting the 25+ minutes a game that Jaylen Wells was getting.

Yep. The role NAW played this year would be perfect for him too
He’s gonna need to tighten his handle to fully play that role. NAW spells Conley as a more traditional ball handler. Bringing the ball up against NBA defenders is no joke. TSJ is better suited to a wing role like DiVincenzo.
