What a comeback! Young players looked a bit shaky to start (as you’d expect) but played well overall. Swanson especially looked impressive.

Illinois beats Tennessee at Huff 3-2! Blew a 2-0 set lead but we were able to pull away in the 5th and win 15-8.
We do. Prince is recovering from what seems to be a minor injury as is Bruna. Hopefully one or both are back next week to give us some much-needed additional firepower. Holzman (the Gatorade player of the year) is out for the season, but luckily we’re pretty deep at the hitter position.

Another 5 set win! 10 sets against a top 20 opponent, you can't get experience like this in practice. The subs for the injured Illini, trial by fire. Now to practice and lots for Coaches to build on. When you play quality opponents early, you find out who you are and what needs work. I should add, if you are rated #6 you should.

Pretty impressive 2 match sweep of the Vols with Prince and Vrankovic out. Thought Brown was solid in both matches, despite not always being in sync with her hitters. That timing will only improve though. Lots of good experience for the freshmen - Collins was great today.
Prince has a surgically repaired shoulder that will always be a problem. They can strap her up, shoot her up and put her through rounds of physical therapy but it is always going to hold her back. Most of the time she will play through it, but sometimes she just has to rest it. Bruna has tendonitis in her foot. Again, they can treat it but it will come and go. Hollowell did go through warm ups today, so she seems to be ready if called upon.
I expect the timing with the setter to improve once we get some stability in the lineup. I don't know how we fix the serving - 32 service errors in two matches.
