This has to be one of the weakest non-conference schedules for this program. Disappointing to see how far the program has fallen last few years.
At this point they need a new arena if they are going to be able to compete for players. Unless of course the NIL is exceptional, which I highly doubt.
Is Whitman committed to upgrading VB?

What do you suggest he do? Where will the funds come from? This is the path that the NCAA has chosen for the ADs. The non football, non basketball related sports are going to suffer and some are going to go away completely.
Might be time for a new coach. Personally, I've checked in here and there the past couple seasons, and haven't been compelled to watch. The play has been erratic, and when I have watched matches, scheduling time to watch future matches just wasn't in the cards. Nebraska could very well be a 3rd sweep. B1G volleyball got a whole lot tougher with the PAC additions! I feel others are in the same boat as I, which is reflected in the lack of discourse in this thread these past seasons.
I don't know that I follow volleyball close enough to reach either a euphoria or a panic stage, but my 'oh well' moment was taking 5 sets to defeat Lipscomb. Not a good sign

They are not honestly good. Tamas has not recruited elite players since Hambly left. Nebraska with too much talent as well as top 1/3 of B1G as well.
I'm guessing Whitman won't fire Tamas. The DIA doesn't have the funds to absorb a buyout for a smaller revenue sport. I *think* we're all stuck with him for two more seasons. JMHO.
