Illini close out the match with a 26-24 4th set win............In a sub par overall performance by the Illini we overcome all adversity and now have an 11-5 season record and are 6-1 in B$G play......

so many errors by both teams had me shaking my head on numerous occasions but we survive and hand osu their 7th consectutive loss as we get our 4th ( I think ) straight victory.....

LET'S GO ILLINI !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, would think so also.
The advanced metrics haven't been as kind, as we're currently 36 on the Evollve rankings. Our worst loss is to a good S. Dakota St. team, but they are ranked 45.
Our other losses:
5 Louisville
16 Miami
34 Iowa St.

Purdue is 15 and Michigan is 38.

Illini drop the first set to purdont 25-19.........Illini never had a sustained run of points and fell behind in the middle of the set by 3-4 points............

BTW , Scott Beatty is a long time Illini announcer.........

Illini fell behind 9-2 early and still haven't had a good run in either set..........25-16 purdont in the 2nd set......announcers just said the Illini haven't had a lead yet tonight...that pretty much sums up how bad a night it's been for the Illini......

this has been a night and day performance compared to the Illini's road victory earlier at WL.......it really really has......

IMO , this has to be the Illini's worst match of the year as NOTHING worked right for the beloved........

the confounding stat to me was the blocks............

Whoever is coaching blocking should be fired... They consistently look lost. They are in 11th place in blocks in conference. The hitters this year are athletic enough that they shouldn't be so bad at blocking.

Of course it doesn't help having a 5'7" setter blocking. Yes, she has hops, but it's not enough. Teams have been using that against them all season. It was extremely evident last night and Tamas made no adjustments. You just can't have a small setter playing front row in the big ten. I really like her as a setter and overall player - but seems like they need to go to a 6-2. Which, they have another setter that comes in for 1 rotation, why not leave her in and run a 6-2??

Can't lose at home to a bad Iowa team that is maybe starting to gain some confidence.

I'm watching # 2 texas vs. # 9 t a&m challenge and a & m up 2 sets over # 2 and undefeated longhorns.....tx is coming back in third set...

t a&m crowd is WILD.............Wish we had a new venue and crowds like this.......I really really do..............

longhorns win 3rd set............t a&m still up in sets 2-1................

#11 Wisky not even competitive at home against the Huskers. Good to see the Badgers get thumped by sweep, but scary to consider we have to play Nebraska still. Going to skip watching that one and just read Pru‘s comments.
A whole bunch of NIL and Nebby‘s bench would make for a great team.
