Took set 1 over #23 USC. They have some absolute thumpers up front, but poor serving so far. We look in tune so far. 25–21
Alyssa so crafty with tips & high hands. So quiet against the Gophers last match. Did we save her for tonight intentionally to avoid the USC scouting?
WTG ladies! Dominant in our sweep. Alyssa was absolutely awesome. Chapman in the back row is so solid. I’m pretty certain USC‘s days of being ranked are long gone. Their serve rarely challenged us. Fun win in dominant fashion.

About a year ago, Mary Eggers (Tendler) retired after about two decades as coach at Elon.
Mary Eggers was 5’11”. Nancy Brookhart was the only player over 6’0” at 6’1”. In 1992 Tina Rogers played on a B1G 10 championship team. At 6’3” she was reported to be the tallest player in the history of Illinois volleyball. We are now considered undersized with two 6’4”s and one 6’3” starters.
