I am planning on doing the B$G + next year to watch the exciting Fighting Illini ladies and , btw , women's BB is really fun to watch as the B$G is loaded with good teams and players ......
The game between the loosiers and the idiots was very exciting with clark hitting that 3 pointer to win the game .....she is feisty also.....
While I love our 5’6” guards, they are amazing, guards the size of Dolan, Hargrove and Camille Jackson would have been and will be a big (apologize for the pun) help, on defense against teams that beat us up in the paint and in breaking a press. Plus a couple of 6’4” bangers wouldn’t hurt either.
Hargrove's a '24 we're recruiting. Big Guard Cori Allen will be here next year.

Agree with what you are saying but at least if you have undersized guards they can ball. The main thing that hurts is when you have two starting guards around 5'6". If you had one starting and the other subbing in it works better. Not sure I want to say loaded but maybe depth....but if the roster stays the same with the incoming recruits the 1-3 spots should be real strong. All comes down to finding another body or two to bring in the post plus hope the other post players on team develop more in the offseason. Otherwise you are going to continue having McKenzie and others in the 5'10" to 5'11" area playing at the 4 spot when injuries/foul trouble/etc take place. I would be shocked if a few things don't pan out during this offseason for post players.
Little thing on height...here is list of top 2024 recruits on ESPN. Four of the top 11 are between 5'4"-5'7" with the top player ranked at 5'6" in Jaloni Cambridge. Know we aren't landing the top recruits (yet

Good for you Pru - at $10 a month and cancel anytime, BTN+ is so worth it. I can't imagine a better value for the buck. It is indeed so fun to watch a team on the upswing like the Illini Women.

I don't think so either. Majority of recruiting rankings for women and finding more in depth stuff is not updated often.
Just more so comparison in what I wrote above and number of shorter players being ranked high is all. Is weird cause you can look at some classes and shortest person in top 10 or more is 5-9.
Just a suggestion, but start your subscription in September so you can watch the women’s volleyball team. The athletes are amazing and, in my opinion, just as exciting as the basketball team.
I wonder if we are interested in Jackson's ex teammate at Butler Prep Walton. She's only 5'5,but she's one of the top '24s in the state.
I don't know the order of priority in the '24 class targets. It will come down to landing them, but not sure if they would value say Aaliyah Guyton 5'8" over her for example.
Random comment thrown in as some are talking about BTN+. Hopefully we just keep moving up and get more TV time next season on regular BTN plus random Fox/ESPN/etc games. Team like Maryland is going to lose Diamond Miller to WNBA Draft in 1st round. Hopefully few other teams can lose some key pieces and we can just keep climbing the mountain

Plus there were I believe a couple of men's basketball games against a warm-up type team or exhibition early in season on BTN+.
