I just got finished watching the game and thoroughly enjoyed every second of the game , except for GB getting hurt......she sure seemed in a lot of pain.........hopefully she won't miss any games and the announcers said she was riding the bike on the sidelines.....

Also , good to see M. Cook back in the starting lineup.........................We played great , obviously against weak competition but good to see all available players get serious tick......................It really really was.......................

I was listening to Coach Green's presser after the game today. She was saying how the din from all the young fans was such that players could not hear her from the court. She loved having all the kids and loved looking at all the seats getting filled. 13,000 plus. Then as she often does she talked about the importance of growing attendance for the games. This had me curious to see where we stand so far this season as compared to average game attendance of the other conference schools. I used the first three games, as todays number for us is skewed. Here is what I learned:
1.) Iowa 14,998! 2.) Indiana 10,229 3.) Terps 6,397 4.) Nebraska 5,813 5.) Ducks 4,778 6.) Ohio State 4,680 7.) Boilers 4,272 8.) USC 3,958
9.) Illini 3,591 10.) Badgers 3,237 11.) UCLA 3,147 12.) Gophers 2,818 13.) Sparty 2,647 14.) Michigan 2604 15.) Rutgers 1,919 16.) Penn State 1,906
17.) Huskies 1,873 18.) NW 1,133

So there we are right in the middle. I was surprised to see where the California teams landed. They are both in the top five for ranking and have star players. Maybe once the conference season begins they will draw bigger crowds. I feel like we should be able to be right with Nebraska. I would so love for this group of five who have remained loyal and worked so hard, be able to play their final season in front of bigger crowds. When they are clicking on all cylinders they are a very entertaining team to watch. I feel like the staff and team have earned our support. We will remember them for setting the foundation for
sustained success. KB, Brynn, Dal, Gen and Cookie. They make me so very proud. Let's go Illini Nation. A challenging conference season is about to begin.
Lets make sure the visiting teams know they are in OUR HOUSE.

I saw the players on both teams holding their ears to to block out the youngsters' yelling. Kind of like perhaps Beatlemania back in 1964 & 65. The band could no longer hear themselves playing with the then crude sound systems and eventually gave up touring.

Great comparison! Our ladies are off to a great start to the season. Another step forward into building this program into a powerhouse… and revenue positive for the DIA

Any word on Genesis?

1In the beginning when God created[a] the heavens and the earth, 2the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters. 3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day
