Anyone know if our injured players are on the bench for the games? If not, would that be due to concussion protocol?
Southern has hit some outside shots in the 1st half or this is a 15 pt lead. Foul trouble will slow them down 2nd half. At least we have this last cake walk opponent and some time to rest before the Big Ten slate goes full force.
Shoup-Hill has experience and more size than what we have healthy. Not like going even smaller but might be more efficient having Bostic and Wallace at 4-5 spots with Shoup-Hill coming off the bench. Brynn looks better defensively this season but almost like she lost her whole offensive game.

Dolan and Cook still out? Has the reasoning been disclosed?
I was at the game. We also missed a TON of bunnies. Southern is not a good team at all. Came into this one 2-10 and had been blown out in most games. I'm worried this Illini team will really struggle in the B1G even when Cook and Dolan return from injury.
At least four players won’t have to play 35+ minutes. That can’t help matters.
It'll help down the line with stamina and energy late in games, but that won't fix our subpar outside shooting and turnovers. And we'll need Cook to step it up big-time when she returns. She's had a very uneven season so far.
All four players were at the game. Leti, of course, won't play but is moving around well without any type of support on her injured knee. The other three looked fine. I was told by a source. who should know. that both Dolan and Cook could have played but Coach didn't feel that they would be needed. Bollin has a finicky back that comes and goes.

We have weathered a storm with two ball-handling scoring starters out for some time now on an up-and-coming team - i.e., not great depth/experience. Provided Gretchen & Makira are back soon, the big minutes other players have gotten in the meantime will pay off in the long run.
One of the worst P5 3PT shooting teams in the nation. Little concerning this is the easier part of the schedule but plenty of time to turn it around.

Outside of Bryant (and Cook when healthy), there's no quickness on the team. You saw Southern exploit that today.
