I would love to say we that will happen but the best that I can see is 1 - 2. Zero for 2 on the west coast swing and then an inspired victory over SCUM at home. Going 0 for 3 is entirely possible with the recent injury to Jasmine Brown-Hagger and our already thin bench. Having said that, what these ladies have accomplished is phenomenal. They have totally bought in to coach Green and her staff, and should they go 0 for 3 in these next 3 games they are still a tournament team IMHO. I could not be prouder nor more impressed with they have accomplished this season.

While a successful season was expected losing 2 key starters (a starter and 1st person off the bench minimum), dashed those expectations. Yet coach Green rallied her troops (Mel Gibson in Braveheart comes to mind) and they overcome every obstacle they have faced to this point. Amazing job Coach Green, and way to face adversity head on Illini woman and not only hold your own but exceed expectation. ILL.....

Yes it's possible to lose all three,,,, because if we lose one more player then we ONLY have a starting 5...that can play to a standard..We have 3 other freshmen who can cover minutes as bodies but coaching them up to the standard would take a miracle...But so far seniors moxie can only go so far..
These two teams in California have so much depth,it's like we have a team with have the energy but double the connection but goodness we can't even afford foul trouble let alone poor play..That Michigan game I want the most, the other two maybe if we hit 3s early and often we can get a win out of these two.

The ladies have a chance this season to set the all-time single-season wins mark. Presently, it's 24 wins by Theresa Grentz' 1996-97 squad. Extremely tough test over the next two games against #3 UCLA and #4 USC (which just handed the former their first loss of the season).

Josh , you have to do EVERYTHING in your power as the AD to lock coach Green up as our coach for as many years as you can....Give her a lifetime contract which allows her to retire as the winningest coach in Illini WBB history.......

Her infectious personality , combined with her astounding skill's as a leader of the program . has been shown from day 1......Now she is demonstrating , not only her on the court leadership skill , but now showing her recruiting prowess , bringing in an exciting class for next year , which could be the best class in program history.....I'm going through a nasty flu bug myself and don't feel up to doing the research on how highly ranked next years class is ......But I know when I see a winner , and coach Green is a winner in all aspects of being our coach...............she really really really really really is..........5 stars..........

If a coach go leave a coach go leave regardless how much you give her in money, resources and facilities. She has done an outstanding job.

I believe I once saw where next year's Illini recruiting class is ranked 4th.

Geez, rest up Pru!

Might just want to set alarm for game time and record it regardless, as at least to this old guy it is a late game.

I believe Coach Green is locked up through 29-30 season at about 1 million a year. She has one grade school child, and says the community has really accepted her family.

As Women's Basketball grows in popularity thanks to Caitlin Clark, Coach Green will be in demand based on her teams at Dayton and here. Our downside is attendance - I think we average around 5500, and to make sure we retain her - this has to improve dramatically.

Well the size is enormous and already they have had 4 subs and we're not gonna match up in energy......but we have gotten some fouls on them..Wow we have 10 turnovers in one quarter..but we are in the game

9 turnovers in the first. It’s the only reason we are losing.

14-8 after the 1Q. Had a 6-0 run there until Bryant turned it over on back to back possessions leading to easy points. If the Illini stop turning it over they can win this game. However, as of now, they are on pace to have 36 TOs for the game.

Illini can not match up with UCLA size and talent. Illini committing way too many turnovers and missing easy shots may even lead to a blowout.

1st half observations:
1. They have size at pretty much every position so we’re gonna need to hit some outside shots to hang in this
2. Half court D has actually been really good but…
3. 12 turnovers leading to a bunch of easy baskets. Ugh.
4. UCLA is extremely grabby on D
5. Getting Edey flashbacks watching Betts

We played them tough I will say. Not making free throws and some awful turnover killing us however. I didn't think we would get the calls against a fast, big, good team and we didn't, weak second foul against Bostic. Smith came in and I expected the worst against a very good big UCLA team but she battled and played quite well. Matter of fact the one foul she was called for she was held and pulled to the floor. I think it made her mad and she pushed back and drew a called. Yes we are down 32-16 at half but clean up the bad turnovers and could be a very close game. Good effort so far.

It’s just bad decision making right now across the board. You can tell the game plan is to drive it to the rim, but being in bull in shop will only take them so far.
