Brynn Shoup-Hill, 0ne of the five Seniors to be honored on Sunday. I have really enjoyed the progression and improvement in Brynn's play this season. No doubt, without her, this team would not have been as successful. Very smooth & graceful, smart and those long arms and legs seem to be everywhere on defense and rebounding.

What a season of heart determination hard work and coaching by this team this year. Let's pack the hall Sunday and get that double bye with a win. Mich St lost tonight and I don't believe Maryland will win out at Ind and Ohio St at home. We have a lot of season left and could get the most wins in program history. SUPPORT THIS TEAM AND HONOR THESE SENIORS!!! ILL

MSU lost tonight. If we beat Michigan, and Maryland loses one of their two remaining games, we get the double bye.

Not sure of tiebreakers but it seems they could finish 4-9 seed. Top 4 get a double, 567 get single bye, winner of lower seed games; 8-9 get bye and then play each other. Hoping for 7 seed or lower.

Iowa ended up blowing out Michigan at Michigan with hot shooting. My biggest uneducated observation on Michigan is that they play hard as a TEAM on both ends of the floor. The crowd will have to help bring it for Illinois on Sunday. Michigan is playing for seeding too.

It has been her back this year. Possibly caused by favoring her good leg after surgery on her knee in high school. In the early games this season she was wearing an awkward looking device on her back that was considerably more substantial than a brace. It was attached to a satchel looking device with hoses running, back and forth, to the back device. I saw her loading the device with ice cubes one game. She no longer has that and, I think, has no brace at all. She seems to be moving well as a spectator during warmups. I have no idea whether she wants to play again. To the best of my knowledge, they haven't declared her a medical redshirt like they have Makira, Lety and Gretchen. They can still redshirt her and let her have her junior season back if both parties are interested.

Thank you so much for the updates. Hopefully Shay is using her scholarship to advance her education.

As for Makira, sounds like they are allowing her to transfer somewhere else next year by declaring a medical redshirt.

Will our injured players all return? Will Catoria return? Will Zenere earn a scholarship? Will she return? Will all five signed recruits actually show up (two are already here)? Will Green choose to fill all 15 scholarships (she didn't this year)?

Okay,so it's down to one game on the 2nd for my preseason prediction of getting a double bye or higher to come to reality.We win and Maryland loses my dream goal would be accomplished. Given all the hiccups and a few missteps ( Minnesota and Washington)and devastating injuries,these women have exceeded my expectations so far. They won't get a 4 seed (unless they win the tournament.) for a home game. If we can manage a focus like the WBIT championship,I'm sure this team will get at least one jersey in the rafters.The fan support could double..

One other tidbit that I have seen about the disrespect of these ILL-INI women is that they have all the teams they have beaten ranked above them.The last holdout is Maryland and if they lose one of these 2 games.,and we take care of business against Michigan ( I hate say it but I do like the young talent SCUM has.)' The disrespect will be completely out there. ..I hope Brown Haggar is available against Michigan.

#19 Maryland ended up beating Indiana. Maryland plays its final game with #12 Ohio State coming there at 3:30 CT on Sunday. Someone had said earlier that Illini need to beat Michigan and Maryland had to lose one of two final games for Illini to get double bye.

Realy excited about women's program. Paranoid that we get repeat of Bill Self exit where blue blood makes Shauna an offer she can't refuse.

She is 11th in nation per this article so I don't know what else Jay can do to lock her up

Pay her more. She is one of a kind and the opportunity to dominate the sport is there for Illinois. National championships are within reach in the next five years.

I believe our coach is fairly compensated based on what I saw from that salary scale.The teams that are paying higher are national champion coaches....Well we are a national champion too..lol But conference championship winners, very potent recruiting group.. I think it's a matter of time for our coach's ascension, but I'm sure for the AD some of the business model has to bear fruit..We may need more butts in the seats too... I'm looking forward to establishing our double bye status..Ohio State looks like a FF possibility and should be at Maryland.. Beating Michigan with 12000 in the house would be awesome..lol
