The women's basketball program really needs to have some sort of Kendall Bostic award to give to a player who just represents everything she has provided to the program on and off the court. I've said it before, but she is everything that is good about collegiate athletics. My nieces (no daughters in this house) could do far worse than to look at her as a role model as they grow up and start to participate in sports.Our ladies fought hard all the way to the end. This is just the beginning for our program, but sad that it’s over for this tremendous group of seniors. Seeing KB coming off the court in tears…

Illini seniors , thanks for the memories....you helped the Phoenix rise from the ashes that used to be a dumpster fire and turn around the direction of the WBB program for the better....

Good season this year and should be a better one next. Texas was just too steep a hill to climb. Going forward the future is bright. I L L.

I have a feeling KB will be back someday soon to get her jersey in the rafters. Two Illini records (rebounds and double-doubles), an all-conference first-team, 2 all-conference second-teams, WBIT Champions, 2 NCAA appearances, and the best three-year run in recent program history should do it. Her accomplishments aren't too far off McCloud and Smith who got their jerseys retired in 2023 and KB has them beat with the team accomplishments during her time here.Our ladies fought hard all the way to the end. This is just the beginning for our program, but sad that it’s over for this tremendous group of seniors. Seeing KB coming off the court in tears…

Excellent season and the ladies represented us all with great effort and class. Most of my betting predictions are wrong, but I knew they would cover. The future is bright! Jasmine, Gretchen, Berry, Cori, Shay and the new class will be fun to watch. We may lose some to the portal but we will pick some up as well.

Great season. Improvement over 2022 with #8 seed vs Play In.
We will be younger but have more size and talent. 2nd McDonalds AA in Destiny is plug in replacement for Genesis.
Our Achilles heal this season was if KB left game we had very little defense rebounding. I hope either Leity 6'7" or Hayven 6'6" can replace.
Naomi Benson averaged 19 ppg 11 rbg so maybe she will be the answer. Cereah and Manuela look more like stretch 4's or even 3's.
...They're going to use me mainly at the four because I'm a very traditional player," she explained. "They see me playing in transition, getting up and down and being a strong rebounder and defensive player."......

Great effort. Texas had positional size and speed at each spot. Great experience to go against one of the best programs in WBB. UCLA, usc, Texas. Played the best. Flight until the end.
Lots of 44 jerseys on little girls in the Assembly Hall this season.
It will still always bother me what this team could have done with a healthy Cook and Dolan.
I believe Bostic can play a few years of pro ball and get her financial nest egg comfort.She already has two degrees,one in teaching.She could be a heckuva coach of she desired to be so.
The team will have a massive surge in talent next year,and yes a huge drop-off in experience and moxie,but the seeds have been planted and nurtured. At the end of next year the team will be better.
Sometimes they are spotted in other places too !!

Jackson (and Alves and Benson) was among the 700 players nominated for McDonald's All American but did not make the 48-player roster. Other recent nominees included Bollin, Bostic, Bryant, McKenzie, Vasconcelos and Wallace but only Wallace made the cut to play in the game.
They have them (on the men's standard Nike orange template) in store at Gameday Spirit, but you could order one on the women's template at the NIL Store if you're willing to have it shipped.
