Great chance for home win vs 19th ranked OSU. Quad 1 win. OSU got blasted by UCONN. Narrow loss at home to UCLA. Best win is vs #21 WV at home. I would put resume similar to Illini so toss up.

Our legs may tired after MD thursday and MSU Sunday but OSU played wednesday sunday vs two cupcakes (Purdue and Rutgers).

Hope the crowd is as loud as MD game and our girls pull out the win.

Destiny and Maddy both scorch the press. Rather have Maddy with ball than Aaliyuh. Dolan is a decent ball handler as well. We are so much better vs press this year. Ball handling was major weakness last year.

Aaliyuh can play pg if other team is not pressing. Just does not have Destiny speed. Is this related to injury?

tOSU has a big post player. Wonder if that means more minutes for Levy and Hayven.

Its almost painful to watch Haven and Lety on floor. They are so slow and have bad hands. Bad big story - my HS backup center. Every time I threw him a pass under the basket he had one foot on the out of bounds line.

Then I remember Zack Edy looked like that as 7'2" freshman and became All American his last two seasons.

Lety definitely has more upside than Haven. Lety at least can block shots and take occasional pass for layup

Both should only play drop coverage on defense and stay directly under basket for rebounds. . Haven does not establish position, moves too slow and does not rebound or block shots.

As for the game,
Dolan too many misses 1-7
Team 0-4 3 pointers
11 turnovers but from moving screens and half court mistakes

Getting layups and good shots after breaking the press

Lety did some nice things including an and one but still plays clunky…

Maddie doing Maddie things

Why are A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo here tonight? (know they’re a couple, just wondering connection to Illinois… KJ?)

Well, 36-36 at the half.

Brad Underwood there shown talking to WNBA and NBA players in attendance?

Looked like Aja Wilson and Adebayo
Just as the social media on this. Anyone know the story on why they would be at the game?

78-69. OSU wins. Numerous missed shots at the basket. 2-13 from 3. Gretchen 2-12. And Jaloni Cambrige with 41!

It's like I knew this was a bullet we might bite because the one player J Cambridge is really in the league the most unstoppable player B1G has.You have Betts in UCLA ,but you may be able to double teams and scheme her better but Cambridge has to have a superior one on one coverage with some switch to good doses of physical presence.....Like every game this year we had a chance but this team because it is so young will be given pain to learn perseverance.... But not a whole lot of pain because they learn fast..

If so, hopefully a zone to limit how far they move around to cover
After reading this post, I wonder why we never go zone, especially when we have a matchup we cannot defend man-to-man. Last night, vs. Jaloni and VanSlooten at MSU, are good examples. In my opinion, the only lockdown defender on the entire team is Destiny, maybe Jasmine. Other players are solid but hardly game changers. Playing some zone would change the pace of the game when needed, protect players who are in foul trouble, and, in my opinion, we are not nearly as deep as we sometimes think. It seems natural to me, as our man-to-man is not overly aggressive in the passing lanes and uses a lot of zone principles. Just my 2 cents.
