I know Haven Smith doesn't always get a lot of love from the Forum at times but today she used her size and now the 4th foul on a very frustrated Merkle was again due to a drive by Wallace and Haven working on Merkle. As we have said many times can't teach someone to be big.

Great road win.

Too many turnovers but we rebounded well and hit some shots.

Dolan didn’t shoot in volume as her shot didn’t fall.

Maddie new season high 26.
Barry tied season high 28.

Lety did very well. Hayven also. Good matchup for those two.

Parchment was decent.

Guard play was decent.

The Illini finish strong in the 4th qtr to gain a conference roadkill victory by the score of 92-76 overcoming the mammoth Merkle and her psu cronies.......

The Illini are truly EDG ( every day girls ) banging and grinding out a victory today.....The Illini MBB and WBB programs both get roadkill scalps and they both earned them.........

Berry Wallace is showing she is 1st team all B$G worthy.......
Maddie Webber is hands down 6th person POTY......Destiny Jackson and Cearah Parchment are 1st team all frosh worthy.............

This team is so much fun to watch and see how connected they are............

Coach Green should be considered for COTY with having the youngest team in the B$G playing at such a high level of performance................

I would still like to see Naomi get more minutes. But great, tough win. I thought our players handled over aggressive defense

We won by 16 in spite of giving Penn State 31 points off our turnovers!! I have a feeling that stat will go to the top of Coach Green's issues to address this coming week. Aside from that it was a good game. So fun when we move and share the basketball. Play tough D. We had a great contingent of fans in the stands. Family and friend groups along with members of the Courtsiders. This program is winning games and hearts. On to a challenging Michigan team. GO ILLINI!

Haven and Lety did nice job defending Merkle. Surprised Shauna did not leave Haven in longer. Great matchup. Cearah too light. Psu good at feeding low post.

Great win.

Maddy en fuego from 3. Hope she can keep this up for Michigan.

Seems like an injustice, they should have been ranked after beat Maryland and playing Sparty and tOSU tough in losing efforts. However, they lost by less to tOSU than the lady Terps did. The reason I say it is an injustice is that they play at SCUM on Wednesday and that will be a tough win on the road. Lose and that seems likely, and they would probably drop right back out of the poll. Being not ranked does not mean that you should not be, the lady Illini are an NCAA tourney and top 25 team keep grinding ladies you are making us proud!!!

Please believe and don't be surprised if we get this one in the W column... We match up extremely well..No team is that much faster because of Destiny and Maddie..No team has an extreme shooting advantage over us because of leading the nation on free throw percentages and I'm sure we are very high on attempts as well.If we limit the fouls and just get a good punch of inside game besides Berry and Cee Cee count this as a win....Othe way to 13_ and 5 ...

That’s respect to get ranked after losing and winning in the same week. Women’s rankings are tough to crack because of how many teams dominate.

I’m hoping we have a good game plan for Michigan and pull off the upset. Washington handled them, albeit at UW, but our team oozes possibilities.

Glad to hear it. Game is on peacock which is a bummer.

Our kryptonite appears to be big high scoring post players.

Michigan calls 4 of their starters guards. They are huge guards 6'1" 6'0" 6'3" and 5'10". Their one starting forward is 6'3". You have to assume the two 6'3" players are in the paint.

Our starting lineup goes 5'7", 5'9" 5'11" 6'1" and 6'3" so we are outsized at 4 positions. We can get bigger by subbing Maddy 5'11" and Letty 6'7".

I do count the subs in our size evening out but again it has to be the 9 points and 9 rebounds with 5 blocks Vasconcelos.We have to have the 45 percent 5 to 7 shots a game Jazmine who scored about 8 a game. Maddie can maintain the 14 pts a game.Destiny is smaller but really she has shown many of the taller guards here speed and decision making is second to none.. Those differences would make Illinois a threat to Any team in the B1GI
....It would free up Dolan to feel less pressured... Her and Lety need to work to. on conditioning still.Its a

You almost described Maryland…

6’3, 5’9, 5’10, 6’2, 6’3

All guards except one 6’3 forward.

Their 5’10 guard is a pogo stick.
