...............But Next year, this team should open up top ten and if they don't too bad for the stepping stones to that undefeated non conference crushings that WILL be applied by just adding the players from the injury list...I'm holding out Burruss,or an Awakening from either center we have turning into Madina Okot from South Carolina or both before I predict nat title contenders .. I do watch the game..I'm not exaggerating much...I hear it in Greens coach speak too.

Well I'm reaching for the stars on this but we do have a formula for wins every game that can work on ANY team once...And the recipe is a very heady stealth pg, , multiple double digit scoring options ,a defensive identity, for the most part positional size,(Man oh man I wish that Gretchen..... Never mind .lol),help off the bench, coaching acumen Aplenty and real grit for a young team to win one by one game..........Put every players best 3 games on display and we have a juggernaut , but coming back to reality we have the youngest team in the 68 team field, which says,POP!!!!! to the national title pipe dream balloon ..The experience level is the full taste of unsweetened Peruvian cold coffee...All that being said like the lottery I got ten bucks on this coaches and this team...lol
$10 to win how much?

Need Naomi to get going and we are complete

I dont think Naomi is ready yet. If she were Shauna would be playing her more. We need Jasmine and Aaliyah to score. Jasmine has 22 and 12 the last 2 games. Colorado is not going to be easy. A little production out of Lety would help also. A few rebounds and a couple altered shots would be nice.
I watch Naomi closely. She has the most strength of any of our post players. she is more athletic than Lety too. I think she is underrated and deserves more minutes.

I trust Coach. But I do think we lose Naomi if she does not get more playing time.

I agree she's the strongest and most athletic and has the most upside. I hope we dont lose her. If we bring in another post player (and I hope we do) and Alves comes back playing time is gonna be hard to come by.

I believe she's a good player as well. She will get to play more either here or elsewhere next year.

Skylar Jones has left Louisville. Former HS teammate of Destiny Jackson. 6’ guard average 9 pts/game over 3 years. 2 at Arizona 1 at Louisville. Would we have interest in her? I was hoping to get her last year but got Aaliyah and Maddie. She probably doesn’t fit in this year unless somebody leaves.
She played 32 mins and had 21 pts against Colorado in November. Maybe we can get her for tomorrow nights game!!!

She had her opportunity last summer but she took the NIL from Louisville. That is a hard pass. Illinois can get either one or two highly regarded recruits they lost in the 2025 class. One plays for LSU and one plays for Cincinnati. We will sit back and see what happens.

Yeah, I agree but we all have our favorites. She is one of mine. I love Illinois, but if a player can’t get playing time, I would encourage that player to transfer somewhere else that is a better fit. I don’t want to see someone with her kind of talent wasting it on the bench.

She was only a freshman. Who knows how good she’ll be as a jr and sr. I don’t think anybody has given up on her yet. I wouldnt be surprised if she’s ahead of Hayven and Lety next year. The opportunity is there for her unless we bring in a sure fire starter.

Conflict with Illini men’s basketball. With all the time slots available, why at the same time!? So few schools have both men’s and women’s teams in the tournament and here WE have it and we can’t watch both. 😠
Are the games really slotted for the same time? Men should be over or in control hopefully for Women's start? Besides, switch to Women even if not - the Women are just plain more fun to watch.

Women start around 1:30 after Men. I'm recording the Women and hopefully not missing anything
