Although I wouldn't call them seasoned like the previous group but overall they are longer and likely much more talented.Tjey are immersed in the culture set by the others much faster.Im predicting a GREAT season for this group.They will pickup victories in at least half of last years losses. Any team that beats them will have earned it...It will be hard to pick this years B1G championship.USC, Michigan, UCLA,Ohio State, Maryland, Michigan State,and Ill-ini,you can scramble in a bowl and pick the champion.
USC will be the media pick but playing the REAL best conference is gonna be tough.Look into our 9 starters roster and even compare them to the others, I think people will understand even Coach Green optimism..She is a giddy about this group as I am.I see it in her videos.She is trying to suppress it but...............Just know she can't wait either...It's the best team she has ever had..All they need now is a fully stocked stadium to witness it all..

When I think of this team ,we already have every starter back but adding Manuela(a future pro),Divine(unlimited protential),our seasoned refresher whom we pray burns teams for one whole year, Gretchen does it all very calm but has real moxie and flair to her game.It makes me think early season we will have musical chairs as starters.Heck those 3 and Webber and Guyton are another B1G starting 5 for sure..And those other two freshmen..??? Well just a heckuva roster huh?

I love your enthusiasm, but I don’t think that Green will have musical chairs as starters, just not her style. Since she has been at ILL she picks her 5 and sticks with them unless injury occurs. My GUESS that it will be Destiny, Gretchen, Berry, Cearah, and Lety. Maddie first off the bench, and Jasmine and Manuella in the mix. Divine is a real wild card as she had a great high school career, but played so little at LSU that it is tough to get a read. Alliyah will battle for time as well. No doubt the deepest team of the Green era. Looking forward to the season.
I agree with you, I think that is why this year is a great opportunity for the team. This is pure speculation, but last year I would think that Berry and Gretchen were on top of the NIL list. But believe that Cearah and Destiny earned a payday after last year's performance.
I agree with you but this is the one issue i have with coach green. How can she expect players to stay with the program if they don’t get playing time.
I hear you, but if players 7-9, whoever they are, don’t get playing time, they will move on or accept what they are offered. They don’t have a lot of bargaining power. The women’s game is not like the men’s game; they cannot keep 9 players happy, just not enough money in the pot, as I understand it.
Shauna is going to play the players that she thinks can win the game. Playing time is secondary. It’s not going to be easy to get 10 players the amount of PT they all think they deserve. Destiny, Cearah, and Berry are going to get their 30 or more minutes/game. That leaves 110 split between 7 others. It’s gonna be a real challenge to earn minutes. More than likely 1or 2 are going to sit more than they’d like.

Some how this years team will find space for 9 players to get in because , seriously we have 11 players who have the talent to get more than 10 mins a game, especially in the frontcourt as I seem to always forget Catoiya,and Vasconcelos will play. It's typical that coaches like to stick with no more than 8 players ,but at PG we have Destiny who I see as a lock for 25 min plus but remember Divine is a top ten recruit at the guards spota d no she didn't get time at LSU but they did have two 2 first round Wanna playing ahead of her and she didn't pick her first love team Illinois.,so she will find time especially with her size.. Gretchen will play, Jazmin will play, Maddie will play.I believe Aaliyah will play,and honestly who amongst those won't find minutes??
The frontcourt ,our favorite Ohioan Berry will play,our awesome Canadian Parchment will play, Vasconcelos will play, Manuela WILL play, Maddie Webber will play This doesn't include the new 6 ft4 girl from Serbia or the Juco player Ona is a 6 ft guard...So many options...I would like to see practice right now..

as with the men's program playing time will be earned in practice......those that perform in practice will get minutes and how they perform on the court will decide how long they will be playing or sitting................it's not rocket science but it is application of your skills in the opportunities you do get..................Obviously , Berry , Gretchen , CC , Destiny , Maddie , Alyiah , Jasmine and Lety will be getting minutes but Divine and Alves will push for that too...................we have a loaded roster this year ......stay healthy and the sky's the limit.......will be an exciting year in MBB & WBB basketball..................it really really will...................
