Illini men set a high bar for season opener.

It would be great to see Illini woman dominate likewise.

Lets get Divine and Berry on track scoring.

Excited for the new season and much success. Look forward to our depth this year, in case of injury of course, its a long season and players get banged up. For me the depth I think will come into play with foul trouble. Last few years we had key players stay in the games in the first half with two fouls. None of them could go full speed on defense as it was risky to avoid that third foul, sometimes they did pick it up. Other times that 3rd foul came early in second half. This year we have the depth to avoid that and stay aggressive. Plus we have a team full of scorers, so losing one will not hurt like in years past.

Big guards, small quick guards, we have both. Size up front, we have it and off the bench this year we have it with gals that can score, rebound and play defense. All things we lacked or lacked depth in last last we have it this year.

36 32 athalf. After a slow 5-4 start we were hot from 3 and went on a 16-2 run. Since then outscored by 11 and they will shoot free throws to start 2nd half as Alves hit with flagrant. As in exhibition we continue to be sloppy and casual with the ball and have 15 turnovers. Our D is not as cohesive yet. We are rushing a lot shots resulting in being short or bad angles. Refs are calling a lot of fouls, Gretchen with 3. Womder what Shauna is saying in locker room
