does having a national champ in football makes you a football conference?
what if B1G wins the Men and womens basketball championships?
Not talking about national championship. More about Mich, tOSU, Ped St, Wash, Oregon, all in the top 10 and others in the top 25

Because we have two teams in the top 10 and three in the top 15? Does that make the ACC a nothing conference?
In football Mich, tOSU, Ped St, Wash, Oregon, all in the top 10 and others in the top 25. That IMHO makes us a football conference. ACC ?????? They aren't in my post or my thoughts

FWIW, Bilas posted a very detailed "Top 68" teams this morning, with Illinois at #8. It looks like he wrote it before PU and Houston lost though.

ESPN+, but here it is.

Crazy week and wonder how it will affect the beloved's ranking...Purdue loses again, Kansas loses to unranked team, Tennessee loses to unranked team, Marquette loses to unranked team, Clemson loses to unranked team, Oklahoma loses to unranked team...

Just keep winning. If we take care of business tonight and Sunday, hopefully 8th or 9th. Maybe higher if Arizona loses on Saturday as well.

Illinois didn't budge in Gary Parrish's ratings. Arizona and Kentucky made room for UNC and WISCONSIN.

Houston dropped three whole spots to #6. Memphis is #7.

One person's opinion. It also happens to need clicks to survive.

Hard to tell with so many losses, but I think the top 4 remain the same but shuffle, UNC moves to 5 Tenn and Kentucky slide back. Illinois could land at 7, they absolutely should pass OK, possibly Arizona, but I am concerned that poll darlings Duke could benefit from the losses and end up at 7 or 8 and leave Illinois no higher than 9 despite all the chaos.

I could see that happening but I’d be ticked. Duke barely scraped by a bad Georgia Tech team. They have no business moving up ahead of us if we win against Maryland.

I get the impression from listening to Parrish that he doesn't actually enjoy doing the Top 25 and 1, but he has said it consistently gets the most clicks so he's got to keep doing it.

Everything will shake out in the next few weeks now that teams can't hide behind cupcakes anymore. I am actually interested to see how Houston's season goes... their computer numbers are still so high that they are supposedly favored in every game remaining, but I would not be surprised if oddsmakers begin to disagree for upcoming games (@BYU, @Texas, @Kansas...)

Okay, but if we "barely scrape by" at home, throw out that philosophy. Gotta win it fairly big or it's not good.
