Eh, the AP Poll functions year-round as a recognition of the success(es) or failure(s) a team had in the previous seven days ... no different this week. Sure, it means less from a perception standpoint (and this is all it is really good for, right?) once the NCAAT seeds are out, but it would actually be kind of weird if they just didn't do it this week, haha ... it would be publicly acknowledging that it's a pointless poll.
