I would’ve taken UNC too. Love to get as much payback as possible for 2005, and if UNC would’ve only squeaked out an OT win after being up 19, I think their confidence would be a little shaken (unlike VCU). Either way, I think Sweet Sixteen is pretty secure here with a similar gameplan. Illini cover and advance.

. . . and GREAT BALANCE in the second half. Please keep posting up Tomas. He will get some points and confidence to hit an occasional three-pointer.

AS even hit a nice three-pointer within the nice flow of the offense--that is fine. If you guys can duplicate this second half, ELITE will rule the day!

Balance!!! KB should continue to use his bulk to drive to the hole. If KW can duplicate his three-point shooting and crucial drives in that second half, then they're going places.

LOL...our Illini are anything but a brick wall...more like a storm of threes and Off. boards. I am happy with that as long as we get it.

This team pounded Penn in the second half. I wish this was the case in Los Angeles, and both games against Wisky.

But, it's a mute point now. Killer instinct has returned!

It goes to show that the NCAA tournament is a total crapshoot. Wisconsin looked really good for the last month plus and they lose today. We've been blowing leads and losing OT games left and right and we come out today looking like a top 5 team.

What an awesome display of BB awesomeness by Mirko-Man tonight..............he set's a new Illini record for rebounds in an NCAA tourney game with 17 along with 29 points..............he is such a delight to watch him do a little bit of everything on the court and leading us to another victory...................

Brian Barthart just announced our game Saturday is a 6:50 start CT.....I 'm pretty worn out from a full day of BB watching so I will close this out now...............

Solid second half. Stat of the game for me was only 3 turnovers vs. Penn's 8. Shows me they are paying attention and care. When a team has the skills this Illini team has, those two things are the foundation for success. Now...go build a bigass success.
