How hard is Phil Knight crying into his Nikes right now?
Did anybody else pick up on the discussion about the west coast teams having to travel so far a 2-3 times? They said, "of course Oregon travels differently than the other teams". I thought that was funny.

Quite the one day swing in B1G EM:

Yes, it will swing wildly here while the sample size is low. MSU is off in their own stratosphere right now because they laid an epic beatdown on Nebraska and only also played Minnesota. It looks like Minnesota will skew a lot of margins this season (see Purdue and Indiana who are also boosted by Minnesota beatdowns).

Can't take a bad loss in Washington this weekend, though.

Give Up What GIF by Jeremy Fisher

We all expected to come in to #9's house and beat the brakes off of them, right? What a fun continuation from the football game. Humrichous finally showed up. Jake from State Farm and DGL were ballin'.

When they replayed the Illini/Nebraska game right after, the tears were almost flowing man. We are legit in both basketball and football. Thank you Josh Whitman, Brad Underwood and Bret Bielema for making both sports fun to watch again!

Wow. This is the team we were all expecting in October. Why only 22 min. for KJ? Is he ill? Also, what is EM?

I would like to hear opinions on best Illini sport weeks, because this might be the best for me. Beat the SEC for the first time, and then set an all time record against #9 on the road.
Combining the two sports, it’s hard to compare. I can’t recall such a feel good football win followed shortly by an incredible beatdown in basketball — let alone on the road.

Three individual basketball games come to mind where such a beatdown was unexpected.

2021 @ Michigan
2004 Wake Forest
1988 @ LSU

We’ve had our share of memorable blowouts, but those three and tonight’s win at Oregon stand out among the rest.

I actually agree about shooters needing to shoot.but any coach worth his wait in salt knows if said shooter can hit the broad side of a barn and plays the worst defense in illini uniform for years maybe other then the groce era.look man I understand he had a decent night no denying that and I'm not rooting against him but any coach will play the play the player that's going to win him the game and until tonight that hasn't been ben.im not saying not to give a shooter a chance to shoot but by your standing if we played Ben over morez in bragging rights that would have been a loss.ben brought nothing to that game other then points for mizzou it goes both ways.so youd give up morez development over 3 decent games by Ben and horrible defensive play?I'm not trying to argue if that is the case then I'd have to call you the amateur
We get it. You think Ben is trash. BU sees him in practice everyday and he’s paid the big bucks to make the best decisions for his team. Luckily for us , and unfortunately for you, he’s our coach, and you are not. Try to enjoy an amazing, a*#- whooping , road victory over a top ten conference opponent.
