WOW, WOW! Where did all that come from? 2nd team really ignited the whole effort. Game balls to Dra, Jake, Ben-Ben- Ben, KB, MJ, KJ, Will, Tomas! I have been waiting for this. 58% shooting on road, 16 threes, 45 rebounds all against a totally dismantled Oregon Ducks. What a confidence booter on the road against a top-notch opponent. If this doesn't give this team some respect by the writers and coaches they never will get it.
One thing I wish-Boz who is so good at getting to the basket but gosh could he just make a layup. I think I counted 5 misses but otherwise he is a baller. Maybe Dra could give him a pointer on how to lay it in!. So Much talent coming together.
Please beware! Washinton knocked off Maryland. Now go on a tear and keep it going!

How many "layups" did OREGON miss?

Morning after thoughts: Oregon pressed all night and everyone did a phenomenon job of handling the pressure. I don't know if we had a single turnover against their press the entire game. Only 10 turnovers and they are really starting to look a lot more comfortable playing together. We aren't seeing the missed connections and passes to nowhere happening early in the year.

On defense just another spectacular job of playing the BU system. Oregon only made 5 3s and otherwise almost all of their shots were contested 2 pointers. Ben was GREAT defensively, Oregon kept trying to go at him early but he was in position, stayed between his guy and the basket, and used his length to contest shots. Even helping down low he really helped to alter a lot of shots.

Also for Ben I think it really helped to get him some closer in looks. Sometimes those help the confidence to get the 3 pointer going and it seemed to really help him. I would really hope we seem some more post ups or cuts from him in the future because he can do a lot more than just shoot.

I'll say this I'll never coach high major for sure .however rewatch alot of the games from the season Ben has been a major liability both on defense and on offense he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn .he had acceptable game that he was brought in for 1 game don't forgive the rest fr.if he plays like today he's definitely going to add alot to this team especially considering riley hasn't truly stepped up and took over.but 1 game don't make a season unless your cutting down nets Ben has been a major liability on defense and when he can't make a shot has been absolutely unplayable let's be real.i hope he keeps it up fr I'm happy with today performance but he has to show it going forward cause let's face it against 0-14 Chicago state he didn't show it or against really anybody this season tbch
The guy who has forgotten more about basketball than you will ever know…… disagrees with you.

Good morning all.................hope today finds you in a positive frame of mind as much as I am in over the last 3 days of glorious wins in Illini FB and last night roasting of the # 9 Ducks.......it , without a doubt , has been the best medicine that good ole pru could ever have had.........

Talk about a true TEAM effort on a late night for all of us Central time zoner's to enjoy and savor.........the lads unleashed a barrage of athleticism and skill upon the ducks and they withered like a fart in a whirlwind............total arse kickin and taking names , as we used to say in the Cro-Magnum past era of my life...........Release the hounds and watch them hunt , and hunt they did.....

They really really really did...........

To all my Illini brothers and sisters here who have shown love and support in my 3 + weeks absence from the board I say thank you from the bottom of my O & B heart............To those of you who have posted about your trials and tribulations regarding health problems , I offer you the same support level as I have received........it means a lot to me to have that support so I want to share that support with you too.........

Thank you Jake & DGL for keeping us in the game in the 1st half........As BU stated so too the point last night , you 2 Illini won the game for us , so the rest of the Illini could come out and lay the wood to the yellow and green horde in the second half ......

The second half performance by the beloved was a masterpiece in how to break down an opponent's will to compete.......Last night's game will be remembered by ole pru as poetry in motion with so many highlight plays to witness.........

This is why some on this board will never and should never coach. Prior to tonight, this group had only played 12 games together, yet you have people making hard line stances like....the "donors" being upset.

Happy for the kid and happy we have the coach we do. We're extremely fortunate and probably shouldn't take it for granted.
This YMCA coach is happy to eat crow about Ben. If he can get consistent with his 3 point shooting, the sky is the limit for this team.

I'm not trying to be confrontational but 3 games out of 12 won't cut for what we all aspire truthfully I was hoping riley would step up but he hasnt. However you are right there's still plenty of season left to play just some if not most of those games defensive Ben has been unplayable or a given bucket case in point mizzou game.i really hope going forward Ben and will can truly push themselves to be better cause that position truly is the missing link to go far in march.ILL
I’m going out on a limb here but am guessing sometimes you’re not really the life of the party.

Going to need him against Michigan. Two 7 footers maybe our biggest problem. Really think they will be the competition for BIG championship.

I learned last night that the current odds for Illinois to win the national championship are +4200 (42 to 1).

For those of you who are able to legally bet and are into that sort of thing, might be worth a small wager before those odds start to go down.
